  We visited Top Golf in Carillon parkway in St Pete, FL today. We needed an activity for our kids before nap time and this was perfect. Specifically the professionalism and kindness of the staff was outstanding. Mac, our bay attendant, was super helpful and great with our kids. She made sure we had everything we needed and even brought right AND left handed kids golf clubs for our 4 year old since we didn’t know which he would need. And the chef, Basil (that’s his name!), came out to say hi to us and our kiddos. It’s hard to find a fun, engaging, family friendly activity sometimes and this was just perfect for us. Definitely recommended Mac Daddy and Chef Basil. They were awesome!

  We rented 4 bays for a large group. We were told there could only be one check for the entire group. The waitress advised that she “took the tables because she was told there would only be one check.” When asked if we could order at the bar to have our own checks she said “I’d rather keep everything together over here.” When re-inquiring about why we couldn’t do separate checks the waitress said “well it’s just a lot of people and a lot of separate checks” …ummmmmmmm, that’s like a waitresses job….. Needless to say we kept it all on the same check and had to Venmo and Zelle our money to one person to cover the check.

  This place is sketchy when it comes to payment. I have been here multiple times and when I’m ready to leave they just voice the amount owed. No receipt, no itemized screen, nothing. They hold a credit card machine and glare at you with the anticipation of tipping on the total bill, to include the bay renal. And when I ask for a receipt multiple times, I am told I can receive one after I pay. The only reason I can think they find this resourceful is due to them trying to force tipping on bay rentals. Which is completely unacceptable to expect a tip on. And since most of their drink menu doesn’t have prices and they are the equivalent of drinking downtown, ($8.50 for a draft beer lol) it’s either you get screwed by over tipping or the mediocre service gets under tipped. Either way it’s a poor system and shouldn’t be even allowed at any establishment.

  First time in this place and in all honesty I am not sure if I would ever go again (and I live 5 mins away)… the experience was not great, I was a little disappointed about the way we were treated. We got 1.5 hour and then we added another 30 min, which was cut short 15 min, then they (Brandon, the manager, who by the way not even a “good evening folks”, it was like we were not even there)… tried to add the 15 min back but he could not do it. This resulted in 25 min of our paid game time wasted. A couple of mins later we were told our spot was reserved so we had to be moved (our game was disrupted), even though the spot right next to us was empty and had been for at least 15 min. So we were told to wait by the bar (Ethan was our server). Ethan came back and o voila ! We got the exact same spot we were moved from …. They discounted $15 for whatever inconvenience and by the time we were back ON THE SAME SPOT for our 15 min left … guess what ? You can’t pick 15 min so we had to do 30 min, to what Ethan said “not to worry about” … then he came back a couple of min later saying the because they had discounted $15 before then we have to pay for the 30min. The manager (Brandon), seem not know anything about it, he “looked” surprised… but did nothing about our discomfort. Real bad customer service and even worst problem solving management. I ACTUALLY would not be back at this place and for sure would never recommend it.

  The Paid games time was cut short by the system and when the issue was brought to the server and manager, their resolution was ridiculous and made us feel undervalued and unwelcome. Their communication was a disaster and kept eating our time and trying to get more money from us when in reality it was their mistake, resulting in creating a detrimental experience after we spent almost $300 in less than 2 hours at this venue. Both Brandon V. (Manager) and Ethan ruin our experience by underperforming at their roles on the resolution of the issue we experienced. I would strongly recommend for them to undergo a consumer driven re-training so the brand does not suffer as result of their performance. This was such bad treatment that this feed back will be followed by bad google reviews for several of us who attended this gathering. What an embarrassment for Top Golf after we have been attending their venues for years at multiple locations.
