Honey… let’s talk about my experience at Playa Taco because baby, it was not serving what it thought it was serving. First of all, the bartender? Child… where was the charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent? Because I was looking, and all I found was attitude with a side of indifference. Hospitality is part of the gig, darling, and this performance was giving… first out. No warmth, no welcome, just vibes colder than a busted ice machine. Now let’s sashay over to this so-called “pickup system.” Confusing doesn’t even begin to cover it. Am I ordering? Am I waiting? Am I supposed to telepathically know when my food is ready? It felt like a mini challenge I did NOT sign up for and I definitely didn’t win. And baby, the packaging… oh, the packaging. If presentation is everything, then this was a full on elimination. Messy, impractical, and doing absolutely nothing to protect the food or elevate the experience. By the time I got my meal, it looked like it had already lip-synced for its life and lost. But let me tell you what really gagged me: this is happening at a resort like TradeWinds Resort. The expectation? Elevated, polished, seamless luxury with a side of fabulous. What I got instead was confusion, poor service, and presentation that didn’t match the price point or the setting. It’s giving mismatch, darling. A resort of that caliber should have its dining experiences tight, right, and runway-ready not leaving guests wondering what went wrong. This isn’t just a small hiccup it’s something that needs to be addressed. Because when you’re charging resort prices, you better be delivering resort excellence. Right now? The illusion is broken. Look, I love a good taco moment, but this? This was not the fantasy. Step it up, darlings because right now, it’s a “don’t call us, we’ll call you.”
