We tried purple olive for the first time since moving to Saint Augustine. We were not disappointed. We originally had a reservation for 7:45 but decided to sit in the bar. The ambiance was intimate and our waiter Doug was very attentive. We started with the trio app and it was delicious. We ordered the stuffed chicken breast and the filet. Both were excellent. We will definitely be back.

Impressed! I ordered Chicken Parmesan with Caesar salad. The salad had a hint of lemony flavor it was a really good Caesar dressing and the Chicken Parm was outstanding! Thick white chicken breast w/just the right amount of cheese and sauce not too much with really yummy pasta. The San Sebastian sangria was also nice. The remodeling is more classy and they have a small outside dining area as well.

We had an amazing dinner last night — everything was cooked to perfection and the place was packed! Every dish was made with love and totally delicious. The service nailed it, the vibes were spot-on, and the décor was a whole mood. Major props to the you guys for the hustle, the heart, and for taking an iconic spot and somehow making it even more iconic. 🍷🔥👏

So we had been to the PO when it was on A1A. This review is of their new location on Anatasia in the old Gypsy Cab building. There were 6 of us for dinner. So we started off with drinks and it went down hill from there. The drinks arrived, two of which were martinis in glasses that were half filled and look like dessert cups. The server went to put down my friends drink but put in on the spot where two tables were put together which were not even so the entire drink spilled onto my friend’s lap. She was soaked right through her clothing, and, we had somewhere else to go afterwards. We then had appetizers which were ok. My husband ordered a salad and steak and I ordered the salmon with broccoli and mashed potatoes. My husband never got his salad. Of the six of us, only 2 enjoyed their dinner. Me and another person had the salmon and it was tasteless, the broccoli was tasteless and the mashed were tasteless. My husband had the filet which was suppose to be medium/well and it came out rare. Everyone who had the broccoli said it was tasteless, like cardboard. It was like nothing had any seasoning at all. The night was a complete disaster. The only saving incident was they didn't charge my friend for her martini bath, thank goodness. We were all so disappointed with the dinner. We were so hopeful since the other location was always a great experience. We even spoke to the owner who offered an apology for my friend's soaking pants. We will not be coming back anytime soon. Complete disaster of an evening.

We were excited to visit the new location on Anastasia Blvd. The building looks fresh, the interior warm. The food was great. We enjoyed appetizers and entrees, I had the filet mignon with peppercorn sauce, my wife enjoyed the crab cakes. Our guest had the short rib. The creme brulee was delicious. The Gypsy Cab was a great restaurant, the vision of one our city's great chef/owners who retired years ago and with a new owner in the kitchen they will have a successful future. The service was also excellent.
