After I contacted Guest services, I received a phone call from the operations manager. He apologized profusely and offered us another opportunity to dine at the Sarasota Flemings. In order for us to go back, he offered us a significant credit on our account. Once we go back and, hopefully, enjoy the credit, I will post our final verdict

My husband, my granddaughter and I went to Fleming's in Sarasota, Fl. on 12/24/2025. Yes it's Christmas Eve, but it was also our 33rd wedding anniversary. I knew it would be busy, but hey, it's fine dining and they are known to be a very good restaurant. Our reservation was for 6:45 p.m. We only had to wait about 5 minutes for our table, so no issue there. In fact, we were impressed that we were seated almost promptly. On our table was a Happy Anniversary card signed by the staff and some little red hearts. It was a very nice touch. We sat down and our waiter, David, came to the table immediately to take our drink order. I had a glass of wine, my husband ordered club soda and my granddaughter just asked for water. We were brought bread and given some time to look over the menu. David came back to take our order. It was probably 7:10 p.m. We placed our order: 1 Fleming's salad, 1 Caesar salad, 2 petite filets, 1 medium rare, 1 well done and an 11 oz filet medium, 2 baked potatoes and a mac and cheese. The salads were very good, as was the bread. We finished our salads at about 7:25 p.m. My granddaughter couldn't understand why it was taking so long to get our food. We tried to explain the concept of fine dining to her, wherein the restaurant wasn't in a rush to turn the table. That it was an experience. However, at 8:00, when we still didn't have the main part of the meal, we started getting antsy. David kept saying our food would be out next. At 8:30, my husband asked to see a manager and David said he was going to get him. The manager, Mirco, apologized for the delay and said they were very busy. We said it was unacceptable and I said if you can't handle the business, don't take so many reservations. We offered to pay for what we had already consumed, but that we didn't want the rest of the dinner. The manager said he understood and of course he would comp what we'd had. As we left, the hostess wished us a Merry Christmas and asked how our dinner was. We told her we didn't know as we'd never received it. An older couple, who were seated 2 tables away from us said they hadn't gotten their dinner either. So disappointed about the dinner.

We had a reservation on Christmas Eve, and this was hands-down one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had, especially for a restaurant that brands itself as high-end. From the moment we walked in, the hostess staff was rude and unwelcoming. Things didn’t improve once seated. We waited an unusually long time just for starters, and when they finally arrived, my dad was served a French onion soup with no broth, just onions and soggy bread. I was also given an alcoholic drink instead of the soda I ordered, which is unacceptable. The real issue, though, was the wait for our main courses. We waited an hour and 40 minutes, along with multiple other tables. When we finally asked what was going on, we were told it would be another 30–40 minutes. At this point, it was nearly 9:45 pm, and we arrived for our reservation around 7:25. The worst part was, the manager went table to table apologizing, comping meals and drinks, except ours. Not a word to us. We were completely ignored. We ultimately paid for the drinks, soup, and salad, left hungry, and ended up eating Panda Express on DoorDash at 10:30 pm on Christmas Eve. I don’t care that it was a later reservation. What matters is that they accepted reservations they clearly could not serve, on a HOLIDAY no less. I genuinely feel bad for anyone who maybe only eats at a “nice” restaurant once a year and trusted Fleming’s to deliver something special, because this was a massive letdown. For the price point and reputation, this experience was embarrassing. Fleming’s charges luxury prices but delivered fast-food-level consideration minus the speed.

Amazing experience for an anniversary celebration. When we arrived, we were told that we had made a reservation in the bar area. Given that we were celebrating our anniversary, we asked if we could be seated in the dining room instead. Even though it was Christmas Eve and the restaurant was fully booked, our request was accommodated. We even asked to switch tables in the dining room due to the one where we were seated being located directly under an air conditioning vent blowing cold air. Once again, the staff said "no problem". Our table was set and decorated for our anniversary. The service was outstanding. Every person that came by our table wished us a happy anniversary and thanked us for coming in to celebrate at Fleming's. We're surprised to read of some bad experiences and as disappointing as that surely is for those involved, our experience was the complete opposite. We look forward to celebrating at Fleming's again!

An absolutely unforgettable dining experience at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar—and Mirco is the reason it rose from excellent to extraordinary. From the moment we were seated, the service was polished, intuitive, and genuinely warm. Mirco delivered hospitality at its highest level—effortless, knowledgeable, and perfectly timed. He anticipated every need without ever being intrusive, turning dinner into a seamless experience rather than just a meal. The food was, as expected, outstanding—expertly prepared steaks, impeccable flavors, and presentation worthy of the restaurant’s reputation. But what truly set the evening apart was Mirco’s ability to elevate every course with thoughtful recommendations and sincere enthusiasm. His passion for excellence was evident in every detail. This is what award-winning dining feels like. Fleming’s delivers the cuisine—but Mirco delivers the magic. We’ll be back, and we’ll be asking for him by name. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
