  I really wanted to like this restaurant as the town was crowded and we were hungry. We were seated quickly outdoors by the hostess who didn't mention any food restrictions. We proceeded to order a bottle of wine and an appetizer. When the waitress returned she told us they were out of the the pulled pork appetizer. We then cjose our dinner selections from a very limited 1 page menu. After some time the chef came out yo tell us 3 of the 4 items were sold out and they only had ribs and chicken. He could tell we were frustrated and ready to leave. He offered to provide us additional chicken, fish, and 2 deserts. In general we were hungry so we accepted his offer but for the life of us could not figure out how a restaurant cannot manage their food on a busy Friday evening. In summary, the food was average at best, the chicken and fish deeply fried and not very tasty. Can't recommend this restaurant. I felt bad gorvthe waitress as it was her first night.

  This restaurant's reputation is better than it's actual food! Had the pork belly with goat cheese grits to start out. Pork belly had a nice char and good flavor but it was on literally a teaspoon of flavorless grits, next to another teaspoon of flavorless coleslaw. Next up was the catfish with collards and mashed potatoes & gravy. Mushy, mushy fish with, again, flavorless batter. The collards were not flavorful either, no amount of salt could even help. Potatoes and gravy were basic at best. Really disappointed. I will say the staff was attentive and really nice.

  Southern Fresh was absolutely amazing. The food was incredible and my whole family enjoyed every bite :) especially the dry rub wings and the ribeye, which were both cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Shelby was our waitress and she was fantastic, super bubbly, friendly, and made the experience even better. Freddy, the cook, was also awesome and so welcoming when he ran our food out. Great food, great service, and an all-around wonderful experience. We’ll definitely be back!

  I wanted to share our wonderful experience with our waitress, Shelby, this evening. She was attentive, friendly, and always on top of everything, making our meal enjoyable. The cooks also did a good job with the food. Overall, great service and a pleasant evening. Thank you Shelby and staff of Southern Fresh

  I've had several meals at Southern Fresh and have yet to find something that wasn't excellent. There's a reason they are known for their fried chicken and banana pudding. They are top notch. There's several other great plates though on the menu if you want something different, and you will always find fast, friendly service. I always get the feeling like I'm eating at my friend's house or with my very Southern grandparents when I visit. Just a great vibe and delicious food.
