  I called in for a take out order and was concerned with all the parking regulations and was told specifically by the hostess who took the order it was okay to park in the front of the entrance to run in and get the food. I ordered the food, picked up the food and a week later received a parking bill from the parking mafia. A warning to others - do not eat at this place because % is very high you will be charged for violating some type of parking scam. BE AWARE and stay away. I do understand that if you go into this place to eat and choose to spend your time, you pay for parking. Good luck.

  Well it didn't start off good, but it got better. When I first arrived, I was told to see the hostess,which was no where to be found, finally after 5 mins she show up with a huge attitude. I asked here for a table in the sun, she said there were non available, but I pointed out to the table we were standing was empty, well complete with attitude, she cleaned the empty table off. That's when it got much better, our server, Howard, was fantastic, friendly and attentive. The food was just OK, the views of the bay were beautiful. Tiki bar was fun and drinks were excellent. Thanks to our server, we will give it another try.

  We loved our meal at Sunset Grill. The view of Tampa Bay is great, especially at sunset. The food was delicious. Our waitress Ginny was the best, as she was very knowledgeable about gluten-free food and so efficient. She made us feel very comfortable, since we had two gluten-free people in our group. Thank you for a great meal. We will definitely come back rhe next time we are in town.

  I honestly wanted to leave a five-star review from yesterday, but my food was thrown out when I'd gone to the restroom.... I literally returned today which is the following day. Meaning I've been here twice in under 24 hours. I ordered the same thing. I believe it was the Oscar. It was supposed to blackened grouper or wha not. The seasoning from the day before was phenomenal! Today however, it's underwhelming and super bland. I'm so overwhelmed as I drove from Tampa to get this dish... I didn't care for the crab cake l bc it tasted a bit like mildew and had a strange aftertaste yesterday, so I asked if they could substitute it( which was a hard no from the chef.) That's all fine and dandy but at a price of $40 for the plate, I assume that you can do a little better than no substitute at all.... I pressed and practically begged for at least double vegetables which came with way too much pepper and heavy on the garlic. There was zero rice on my platter. When I told him I didn't have any, they responded with "it's probably under the fish". No. There was literally no rice. Not at a price point for $40... So they returned with a small cup of rice that was not the same amount as the dish I'd had the day prior... All in all, I feel slighted and underwhelmed that my expectations were simply not met. I left cuz I was hungry and I drove far but I wasn't pleased... I'd give this place a try again, but I'm going to ask that you guys have a better accommodations. It just didn't seem fair being that my food had got thrown out the night prior and I'd only eaten a third of it.... I didn't complain and all I got was a stale "I'm sorry" which really didn't work for me. I had to run to the restroom and the larger restroom was down meaning I had to go to an overflow of people and I was not given a bag to put my food in. So of course I wasn't going to take it in the bathroom because that's disgusting. I just didn't think with the drink still on the table that it would have been thrown out. I'm just really put off

  We live very close to Sunset Grill and enjoy going here for dinner and drinks often. I saw shocked when I got a Parking Ticket for $85 for parking in their lot a few weeks ago. We were eager to have dinner and read the sign that says "we are no longer validating tickets" which we took as they stopped charging for parking in their lot. I reached out to Sunset Grill via their website to inquire, but no response. If they are going to charge to park in the closest lot to their restaurant, then the staff should be trained accordingly to inform guests. I understand change happens, but let's face it guests walk right past the hostess stand....why didn't they confirm the change??? I imagine Sunset Grill will lose a lot of customers due to this unexpected $85 fee weeks after dining. I know I won't be back. Looks like it's Circles going forward.
