The chicken was unusually tough and difficult to eat. No big deal, everyone has an off day, so I went inside to let them know. Instead of apologizing, the employee opened the box, tossed the sandwich straight into the trash, and didn’t even ask what I wanted to do next. She just told the cook to make another one. Since I was on my lunch break and didn’t have time to wait for a new sandwich to cool down, I asked for a refund instead. While another customer was waiting to place his order, I even told her to go ahead and take care of him first. Her only response was, “Give me your receipt.” Although I did get my refund, the interaction really highlighted a lack of basic customer service. Working in fast food is fast-paced and demanding, but that shouldn’t come at the expense of treating customers respectfully. The manager even apologized to a drive-thru customer for their wait, but nothing was said to me for the inconvenience. Do better, Wendy’s.
