I wish I had better news. I will start with the good. The decor is very cool and they have outdoor seating, although we sat indoors. The margaritas were good. The appetizer was good. Now the not so good: We ordered our entrees when the app was brought out. Our entrees were brought out no more than 5 min later, I'm not even sure how they could have been plated that fast. Unfortunately, two of the entrees came out cold. Our waitress disappeared so we flagged down another waitress who, instead of addressing the issue, said she would grab our waitress. 5 min passes, still no waitress. Someone who seemed like a manager stopped by to ask how things were and we disclosed the issue to him. Instead of taking charge he said, "ok, I will get your waitress" and... still no waitress. It probably took a total of 20 minutes before our waitress came back. She was very nice. She took the entrees into the kitchen. After about 5 minutes she came back with them saying she had microwaved them but asked if we wanted new plates. We declined because half the party was already finished eating. And after all that, the 2 entrees were still cold.

I came here in Thursday, April 2 around lunch time. The staff was completely rude. It took them nearly an hour ti bring us our check and check us out. They seemed to have been in such a rush putting our drinks down without saying anything and same thing with our food, didn’t ask us if we needed anything. It should not have taken them as long as it did. They were not busy at all. They had less than 10 tables in the whole restaurant. Their menu has completely changed and is completely too expensive for the the amount that you get. ON TOP OD THIS, one: they charge a fee for using card, it was a 2 dollar fee! It said my total was 39 dollars but at the bottom of the check it said “cash: 37” so I assumed it was 37 dollars but then I got a notification that it said 39 dollars was spent. And I almost assumed the lady added a tip to my check when I haven’t even signed my check yet but then I saw that there was a fee for using card and I was like okay whatever I just won’t come back here it’s fine. I tipped anyway. I tipped 12% because to be quite honest with the rudeness and the time that we waited I thought 12% was still good enough and better than 0%. I get a notification on my phone right now… my total is now 48.13. So make this make sense. 39+4=43 right? So tell me why my total is now 48 dollars. I mean this is ridiculous. Also it was $5 margaritas and we were charged normal amount too. So already I was paying extra. I usually come here all the time. I am never coming here ever again. As if the service wasn’t bad enough but stealing money is ridiculous.

I’d heard mixed reviews, but knew those who loved this place truly LOVED and raved about the food. I’ve lived in Florida for almost 15 years, and have to say as far as sit down Mexican food, this is the BEST we’ve had since moving here! First this place has an authentic heart and soul! From the service, the food, and atmosphere. It’s definitely a bit of a modern flair of your favorite authentic Mexican meal, but still DELICIOUS and has a soul food bite to it! Second, what we ordered: I got a margarita (HUGE btw, had to share with my hubby and it was so good!) there was house made chips and salsa (iykyk 👏🏻😋) and my husband got the chimichanga (his only note is that he would order steak next time, he ordered it with ground beef which wasn’t an on menu option so he believed that was on him. But otherwise found the flavors to be tasty!) I ended up ordering a chicken quesadilla, not my usual go to, but because I needed some soft foods since I had a wisdom tooth removal. After my first bite, I couldn’t believe how good it was. Literally the best quesadilla I ever had. So I asked my husband to take a bite, thinking it was only because I haven’t had a lot of solid food. His eyes widened and he said “this is the best quesadilla I’ve ever had!” So needless to say, this place will be a Port Orange staple for our family!!
