Food was below acceptable for Italian, pasta quality was sub-par, hopefully it was cheap store bought, couldn't be home made. Was there for 21/2 hours and didn't even ask or have dessert. Tables were close and it was noisy. Perhaps it's a better pizza place, there seemed quite a few who stuck with pizza. Owner spent his time walking around welcoming patrons, perhaps he should have tried helping on the kitchen. Severs were overwhelmed needed more of them or better trained. They can be better: cut down on menu choices and focus on better ingredients and get help in the kitchen and more servers. Wine was acceptable choices were ok.

We took a chance to visit this restaurant after the ownership change. Suffice it to say, we will not be back. The service was slow. And it wasn’t the waitresses fault. She was overwhelmed with little to no help. After we finally get our meals, the food was horrible. For an Italian themed restaurant, you would think there would be some taste to the food. But no. I had the House Lasagna that had a taste as if it was from a frozen dinner. The garlic knots were coated in so much grease they were inedible. To add insult to injury, I had some type of hard material in my lasagna, that chipped a tooth, and stopped me from finishing it. We explained to the waitress, who was apologetic and removed the cost from our bill. We were also given some gelato. The waitress took the item that was in my food, and never did explain what it was.

First timers! From the moment we walked in, we knew it was our kind of place! Vincenzo greeted us warmly with a handshake and genuine appreciation. Mallory was our most excellent server/bartender. We ordered drinks (beer and Aperol spritz), house salads and large pizza. Homemade dressing was phenomenal. Salads were loaded and pizza was perfectly crisp thin crust. Service was excellent: drinks good. Salads cold and fresh. We will definitely be back! Thanks Mallory! 😎

HOW INCREDIBLE IS THIS RESTAURANT..... please read to the end.... We were headed to a restaurant in St Augustine for date night but read about Vincenzo's Cucina on NextDoor and as a YUGE fan of authentic Italian cuisine (that is food for those of you that don't know that word), my wife and I decided to give Vincenzo's a try. We called ahead just in case and got an 8:30 reservation on a Friday evening. Upon arrival, there was one dining table available with all the rest occupied by couples and families. The environment is authentic and welcoming. Our server, Allison, came over immediately to take our drink orders and was very warm and friendly. While waiting for our appetizer (Bougie Balls) I saw the owner Vincenzo making the rounds, talking to patrons and asking if there was anything that he could improve. While waiting for our drinks and appetizer, we reviewed the diverse menu and I suggested we might order a pizza to go for the next day. My wife wisely suggested we wait to see if we would have left overs. Our drinks were delivered quickly and Vincenzo made his way over to speak to us. We asked about the upcoming cooking class at the restaurant and he excitedly explained it to us. From his enthusiasm, it is obvious that he loves what he does and that he is dedicated to making a visit to his restaurant a memorable event. My wife ordered the Chicken Pesto dinner with house salad (blue cheese dressing). I ordered Chicken Alfredo Louie with Caesar Salad. Both salads were incredibly fresh, well proportioned and the dressing were home-made delicious creations. After the first bite of our entrees, my wife and I just looked at each other and nodded with that approving grunt of approval that you make when you don't want to do anything that might disrupt the wave of incredibly tasty goodness. Our dinner was somewhat devoid of conversation as we both focused on the excellent Italian meals before us. The servings were extremely generous and soon I had to push my plate away as I was completely full (and should have stopped several forks sooner). At the end of meal, needless to say, we did not need to order any food for the next day as both of us had over half of our meals left to take home. This will be our new date night destination and we look forward to trying all of the other menu offerings.... likely equally as delicious!!! And those of you that deem otherwise, have a better day.

I'm sorry but this place was so disappointing. My dad had been here before and said it was good. He wanted to treat us to dinner and took us to this place Tuesday night. Apparently Tuesday night is not the night to come because this place was not good!!! When we first sat down we were greeted with multiple fruit flies that continually flew around our table throughout our visit. The apps we ordered were so so, mussels, meatballs, mozzarella sticks, garlic knots... They weren't horrible but nothing special either. My son ordered the godfather sub, which I believe is their version of an Italian sub. This sub cost $20 and he said it was one of the worst subs he's ever had. The sub bread was burnt to a crisp, I mean portions of the bread were black. My son took one bite of it and spit it out. Unfortunately the bread was not the only thing that was burnt. Portions of the meat was burnt as well. My husband took a bite of it and said the flavor was their but definitely not worth $20. Owning a restaurant ourselves we were curious to how much meat and cheese was on this $20 sub. The total on half of the sub was 3.4oz. There was very very little bit of spring mix on there and a few small pieces of red onion. Next came the Linguine and Clams, this dish was very bland and watery. Absolutely no flavor at all. The clams were over cooked and very chewy. Not worth the $25. Then there's the Nonna Grande Square pizza that cost $30. There were small clumps of red sauce on sections of the pizza, a very very little bit of basil and very little cheese and we couldn't taste any of the garlic. We again took the pizza back to our restaurant to deconstruct to find out what made this pizza so expensive and the only thing we could come up with is the location of the restaurant. I don't know if the owners of this place think that since they're restaurant is surrounded by million dollar homes that they can charge an insane amount for their dishes but come on. If you're gonna charge that much then the quality of the food has to be there. My dad called me this morning to apologize for dinner last night and how bad it was. I felt bad for him because after drinks, apps, and meals he spent a total of $256 and that was before tip. If you like bland mediocre food and don't mind over paying for it then this is your place. We however, will never go back.
