The food was excellent overall—very flavorful and delicious. We were really enjoying our experience until the bill came. Our server suggested a “special” described as an appetizer. It arrived as a very large dish and was charged at $75, with no price mentioned beforehand. That is unacceptable. An item at that price should be clearly disclosed, especially when it’s presented as an appetizer. Great food, but the lack of transparency in service left a very bad taste.

One of the best parts of visiting South Florida is the incredible variety of food you get to experience, and Peruvian cuisine has become a must-have for us over the years. We first discovered it in Hollywood Beach, FL, and have been huge fans ever since. Unfortunately, our three favorite Peruvian spots have all permanently closed, so on this trip we were on the hunt for a worthy replacement—and that led us to Aromas del Peru. Right off the bat, things started strong. There was plenty of parking (not always easy to find in South Florida), the restaurant was easy to locate, and we were greeted immediately with no wait to be seated. Our server was friendly, welcoming, and very efficient throughout the meal. For drinks, we both ordered the passion fruit piscojito, and wow—the presentation alone was an 11/10. Even better, the drink itself was incredibly refreshing and perfectly balanced. I have a serious weakness for Risotto Huancaína Lomado, and Aromas del Peru’s version absolutely held its own against some of the best I’ve had. The risotto was rich, creamy, and perfectly seasoned, and the steak was cooked exactly to order (medium). Overall, our experience was wonderful from start to finish. Aromas del Peru has officially earned a spot on our must-visit list, and we’ll definitely be back on future trips to the area.

We loved it here! Adding it to our list of favorite Peruvian restaurants. The staff is super friendly, food is 10 out of 10 and the ambience is lovely. We ordered the grilled octopus and it was to die for. Perfectly cooked. And perfectly paired with small potatoes corn and a yummy sauce. My daughter had a churrasco. It was cooked to perfection, meat was tender and delicious. We also had the papa a la huancaina, a jaleita and the Peruvian paella. I can’t tell you how amazing everything was, you’ll need to come try it yourself!

Dining at Aromas del Perú is much more than just going out to eat—it’s a full experience of flavor, warmth, and authentic Peruvian cuisine. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by a cozy, inviting atmosphere, but what truly elevates this place is the perfect combination of outstanding food and exceptional service. Every dish that arrived at our table was bursting with flavor, freshness, and tradition. You can truly taste the care, passion, and respect for Peruvian culinary roots in every bite. Absolutely delicious from start to finish. A very special shoutout to our server, Lucero 🌟 Lucero made our evening unforgettable. She was attentive, kind, always smiling, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendations were spot-on, she checked in at all the right moments without being intrusive, and she made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. Service like hers truly makes a difference. Aromas del Perú has definitely become one of our favorite spots, and we will absolutely be back. If you’re lucky enough to be served by Lucero, you’re in the best hands. Highly recommended! 🇵🇪✨

This is for the Pompano locaton 12/19/2025. Despite the great reviews, our experience at this location was awful. It started out good with a courtesy small plate of large, toasted corn kernals with an tasty dipping sauce. Everything after was bland, overcooked, and false advertised. First course a Shrimp Causa. It contained two teeny, tiny shrimp bits, no more than a half of one shrimp in total. It was fresh but had no flavor of anything and looked nothing like the photos on the website, just a cylinder shaped covered with sauce. My main course was Covina. It was covered in sauce with some shell fish. The Corvina, advertised as Panko, seemed to be deep fried in a coating of corn starch. It was hard, chewy, way overcooked, and likely frozen. My date had the salmon with vegetables. It was like a hard brick, and no flavor at all, like maybe not even salt, and the mixed vegetables were equally bland, except for a broccoli spear which had some seasoning. Really, despite the corn kernals the meal was a total zero. We let the waitress know, she said she would inform the kitchen, and we lingered a little longer while we finished our wine. Nobody came to the table to address it, offer a dessert, or anything. I would not go to this location for free. You might say it could have just been a bad night. Well, it wasn't busy, at most half full, and with everything being so bad, and the plates that say contain shrimp or made with panko being blatant lies to jack up the price, I'd say not. I forgot to mention, my main course did include one large, shell on shrimp, and that too was severely overcooked. My only regret was that we didn't ask to speak directly to the manager.
