I was in pinecrest trying to find something to eat with my girlfriend and stumbled upon Ashoka. We’ve had Indian plenty of times before so we gave it a go. I can say I am very impressed. The waiter was very kind and attentive and the food was delicious. Definitely recommend their spicy options. The chef came out to make sure everything was good, and they let us try new things in their menu on the house. Definitely going to be my go-to from now on for Indian 👍🏼

Authentic Indian food. We came from downtown Miami to eat here after a friend told us how good it was. There are many Indian places in Miami proper that are awful and overpriced. Those restaurants get away with charging ridiculous prices because it’s Miami and tourists don’t know any better. I say get out of Miami and find good and reasonably priced Indian food 🩷

Excellent experience from start to finish. The service was outstanding, and Katia truly made the difference—she was warm, attentive, and took care of every detail. She made us feel completely welcome. As for the food… absolutely incredible. Chef Nikihil did an amazing job—every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. We would definitely come back without hesitation. Highly recommended!

I’ve been here a few times, and every visit reminds me why this place is such a local gem. The food is consistently authentic and flavorful—our go-to dishes are the chicken korma and chicken xacuti, both absolutely delicious. The homemade naan and Indian tea are also a must-try. What really stood out to me this time, though, was the service. Even when they were clearly short-staffed, the experience never felt chaotic. I was genuinely impressed watching one person manage the front—handling customers, running food, and keeping things moving smoothly. That level of effort and dedication doesn’t go unnoticed. The manager is always warm and professional, and it’s clear he truly cares about both the customers and the restaurant. You can tell this place is loved by the community—seeing so many Indian families dining here says a lot about the authenticity. I do hope they’re able to bring in more staff to support the team, because they absolutely deserve it. Even so, they continue to deliver great food and service under pressure. Highly recommend. — Joshua

I very rarely write reviews, but after my visit on April 18th, I felt it was important to share my experience. I visited with my family (party of 5) for a 7:30 PM reservation. We did not leave until 9:45 PM, and unfortunately, the two-plus hours we spent there was a complete breakdown in service and hospitality. The service was non-existent. We sat at a table with no silverware, napkins, or plates for the duration of our stay. It took roughly 45 minutes just to receive menus, and another 15 minutes before our order was even taken. By that point, we still had not been offered water or drinks. The issues continued when the food arrived: • Incomplete Order: We received our entrees, but all of our appetizers were missing. • Service Gaps: For the next 60 minutes, we repeatedly asked for the missing appetizers and water. Eventually, water was brought to the table, but without any glasses to drink from. The appetizers never arrived. • Food Quality: The entrees that did arrive were mediocre and didn't meet the standard of other local options. This was the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. We wanted to support a local business, but to spend over two hours without receiving basic essentials like water glasses or the appetizers we ordered is unacceptable. I don’t see myself returning.
