Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Customers frequently reported long wait times in the drive-thru, often exceeding 20-30 minutes.

I consider myself something of a hamburger aficionado. Beef, bison, venison, elk, pork, chicken or more if it can be ground and slapped betwixt some buns, I’ll give it a munch. However, this was my first time acquiring a specimen from Whataburger. When a franchise enters and expands into such a crowded market expectations are high. A blend of creativity, uniqueness, and quality should be assumed. However, what was received after 20 minutes in the drive through was a bland moist slab, slathered in yellow mustard. On a scale of McDonalds to Michelin, these doesn’t even chart.

This used to be THE whataburger to go to. Not so much anymore. I pulled up and waited 10 min to order, with just one car in front of me. I ordered, took 15 min to get to the second window where I sat for another 5 min before someone opened the window and asked what I ordered then yelled it to the back. Took about another 2 min to get the wrong food. Whatever at this doubt it's been almost a half hour for drive trough I'll eat what they gave me rather than what I ordered. This place used to be the shit to the point I would leave the beach, skip over gulf breeze just to come here because its faster. Not so much anymore I could have sat down and had a real burger at McGuires in the same amount of time

We are from out of state and don't have a whata burger near us. We stopped in and was so surprised. The building was clean top and bottom inside. The workers was very nice and professional. Martha took our order, she was so nice and pleasant. It was such a great atmosphere, and super clean. The food was cooked right and fresh, the drinks was crisp as well.
