I got a tomahawk steak and it arrived room temperature with no flavor whatsoever. I’ve Prepared a tomahawk at home and put coarse salt on the outside and seared it and kept it really rare in the middle and it was 10 times better! I asked our server to warm it and it came back exactly the same. A big disappointment for $150 steak. sadly I’ll go elsewhere for steak in the future.

We arrived 10 minutes early with reservations for 5pm. Made to wait at the hall until 5 which was poor. Hostess was not friendly and never smiled. However, waitress greeted us and made us feel comfortable with her friendly service which we appreciated. Food was good. Gave 4 stars instead of 5 due to the reception we received from the hostess.

We hosted our family for our 50th wedding anniversary celebration and couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. Their event planner, Paula McCollum was excellent. I talked to her several months before the event and she answered all my questions. She always responded quickly when I had questions leading up to the event. She was also present to greet my husband and myself the evening of our dinner. The Admiral’s Room is comfortable and very private. Our guests ordered from the regular dinner menu, and all were pleased with their selections. Our server, Brayden was very personable and managed those who assisted him expertly. There were 13 of us, and our courses arrived promptly and at the perfect temperature. I highly recommend The District for your special event.

Spare yourself from going to this restaurant. We had a 6pm reservation yet didn’t get seated until 7:09pm. Upon arrival, Melanie said they’re busy and it would be a 10-15 minute wait. At around 6:30pm, they started blaming OpenTable for overbooking them. The food was fine but not worth the long wait and lack of transparency from the hosts/managers. Despite coming around several times to apologize for the wait, nothing was offered to make up for the poor service. If Adrian wasn’t such a lovely server, the entire experience would’ve been horrible.

Unfortunately what used to be a special place to have delicious steak has now gone off our list of favorite dining experiences in my hometown of Pensacola. My husband kindly booked a dinner reservation for us for our anniversary and when we arrived 5 minutes earlier, we were told that they overbooked the restaurant. The lobby was completely packed full of annoyed people waiting. We quickly gave up and booked a place at Agapi and had a lovely dinner. I do not respect the practice of overbooking - a shame for the downtown area.
