I’ve gone to this location a few times, first time was decent. However the customer service felt like I was in a frat house. Employees cussing, telling stories about their friends to other coworkers rather than focusing on the customer in front of them and listening to what they wanted vs having to tell them a few times because they aren’t paying attention. Cooks in the back look like they don’t even want to be there. Not ONE smile in that place.
2nd time I went they didn’t have 3 of the lettuce options I like, and when asked if they had anymore in the back I was brushed off with “surely not today”. With a tone in her voice.
When it could have been worded “no ma’am, I apologize. We’re waiting on our truck shipment- can I maybe offer you this?”
Let me say I LOVE Cava, it's one of my favorites. So I'm saying these things from a place of love. How do you not have anything? Out of arugula, feta, cucumber, most drinks, actual bowls, drink lids, napkins...
The line is always backed up to the door and service is soooo slow. I've never had to wait longer than 5 minutes at a Cava.
These are management issues - I hope these issues are addressed and the next time I come by they're fixed, I want a good Cava in Pensacola!
Went to use the restroom first- bathrooms were nasty. Waited in line for quite a while, got to the end of the line and they’re out of the dressing I wanted, which ruined my whole plan for my bowl. I asked if they had any Greek dressing in the back. Someone goes back to the back and comes back with a bottle with white liquid in it and asks the cashier if it’s Greek dressing, which it obviously was not, because of the white color. She opens the lid and sniffs it and says, ‘Yep, it’s Greek’. At that point, I’M OUT, literally. I turned around and walked out.

Sharing in hopes that management can improve at this store, because Cava is delicious but the experience here is terrible. Staff don’t help each other out and sit around on phones while two people do all the work and struggle. One person is cleaning, trying to restock all the items and proteins that are sold out, and deal with an angry long line of customers at dinner rush last night. While others stand around or literally sit at the table on their phone and do nothing to improve the situation. Several people working last night, but somehow it took 40 minutes to check out with 8 people ahead of us. And this was before they ran out of every meat…
Yall, lemme tell you Gee.. is so amazing! She literally makes my day every single time I come in. Usually, I’m having a horrible day and trying to fix it by getting a bowl. I’m vegan, so I always feel so much anxiety being particular about making sure my bowl is perfect, and she handles it with care every time as if it’s her own! That literally touches my heart in such a way you can’t understand! I typically don’t eat out because it’s so hard being picky being vegan, but she ensures I’m satisfied without question! Now if I hadn’t said enough already, Mari also makes the cava experience go from good to great! She has a loving, infectious smile that melts whatever mood you may have had to start the day! She makes your bowl with love and you can tell in every bite! It’s always the perfect amount of romaine, saffron rice, and hummus to stretch across your entire meal for now and if you happen to save enough for later, and she never forgets my free pita on the side or going above and beyond to make sure my pita chips are fresh, it’s really the little things that keep me coming back every time. It truly feels like family every time I enter the doors, and who doesn’t love good family and a great meal?
