  We have been going to Uncle Ernie’s for years, We intentionally go about an hour before sunset. We have always requested to sit upstairs so we can have a sunset view while we eat. And have always been accommodated They now have that area inclosed with roll down blinds. I and several others asked if they would raise the one in the area we were sitting. They would not. Very disappointed ! There is a small area downstairs you can sit that’s not enclosed if seating is available. Food was delicious as always and our service was good.

  The seafood was normal and nothing stood out as being really good. The waitress was less than desirable. I actually felt insulted at one point but I just reminded myself that there is a chance that she simply does not know better. Overall I felt that it's just a general seafood place.

  My first time here and it was fantastic. I moved away from Maryland a few years ago to live in the mid south. The seafood is the only thing I miss about that Democrat run place. But back to Uncle Ernie's, I highly recommend this place. They cook there seafood perfect. Every thing was what you would expect from a place that has been around as long as they have. As a customer, I would suggest if you advertise "lump" crab meat, to cook it as lump, not shredded. It lets the customer know that is what they are getting. Otherwise they could be getting just bits & pieces. Now this isn't the only place here that does this. Other establishments around here do this, just not quite as well as Uncle Ernie's. So this could just be how they do it around this area. So if you want excellent seafood, cooked to perfection, come here. You won't be disappointed. I might add, this not just my opinion, the rest of the group just as happy as I was.

  Have been here 3 times over the last two years. Food is still amazing, and all the patrons that visit here are so nice. Our group of 8 who eat and drink quite frequently with higher tabs than most, were expecting the same service we received the past 2 years. Unfortunately we had a very young waitress who was more concerned with other things than the food or the expensive, but delicious, adult beverages. By the time my spouse finished his meal, I never received "the special for tonight" food dish. We asked three other employees to send the manager over, and then when our waitress finally appeared, but not stopping at the table, finally got her to send rhe manager to our table. The manager agreed to put the missing meal in a to-go box, we paid the tab, and went back home. Yeah, I get to eat 3 hours later than everyone else!!! We understand some nights are good and bad, depending on who shows up for work or not. Just will be questioning whether or not we continue to go here, as we are retired and our bills are usually over $500. The GM that gave us the to-go meal for free, was very pleasant, but the waitress could care less. Since I know what it is like to live on tips in my 20's and 30's, I know I needed to be efficient, polite, VERY friendly, and grab a manager quick when a party asks for one. We really love this place!! Had a very bad night tonight. If nothing else, we hope the owner or owners please look at and enforce requirements to hire a good server. Time will tell if our large parties will go back here, based on word of mouth from the local neighbors we have, who we trust, on the best places to go. My last hope is if management hires people that actually want to be working there, and not circling tips on their customer receipts, when they should be checking on a meal that never came out or another member asking for toppings that were not received with the order. I would gladly answer questions that any owner or GM had for us. Thanks.

  Hey management, just wanted to give you a heads-up from our visit tonight (April 7, 2026). Uncle Ernie’s used to be our absolute favorite restaurant in the PCB area — we’d recommend it to everyone. But after tonight, that’s changed. It took a full hour to get our food, the service was terrible, and the food itself was below average. What really blew us away (in a bad way) was that every single table around us was sending their food back — either because it was cold or completely wrong. Every. Single. Table. Even as we were walking out through the parking lot, people were loudly complaining about how bad their dinners were. It wasn’t just us — it seemed like the whole restaurant had a rough night. Not sure what happened tonight, but our experience was bad, and everyone around us (and apparently in the parking lot) felt the same. A once-great restaurant really messed up big time. We’ll definitely think twice before coming back… which is a shame because this used to be our #1 spot. Hope you can get things sorted out.
