Food was very salty, and for someone who already has high blood pressure, this is NOT the place to eat. Service was mediocre, as they just bring you a glass with your drink, and dont show again until they bring the check. Decor is nice, but needs a good cleaning

Run down and worn seating. Food was cold and overcooked. Overrated due to cheap pricing.

After reading the great reviews, I took my mom out to late lunch here (around 3:30 pm) on a Monday for their buffet. It took a few minutes (10 -15) for the waitress to come to our table but once she made initial contact, her service was great. The lovely loyal patrons sitting at a nearby table saw it was our first time here and guided us in what to do while we were waiting on the waitress. The patron said service here was usually EXCELLENT, but that they must have been shorthanded that day.
We made our way to the buffet and the selections were the best of down-home southern cooking that I have ever seen. From a fresh and bountiful salad bar to homemade Mac and cheese, collard greens, mashed potatoes, beef tips/gravy, rice, rolls, chicken n' dumplings, lima beans, black eyed peas and some of the BEST fried chicken I've ever had!
They also had a nice variety of sweets: chocolate cake, white cake, pecan pie, bread pudding, banana pudding (that tasted exactly like my grandma used to make) and an ice cream machine complete with cones.
Everything both my mother and I had was DELICIOUS! The ONLY critique I have is that the chicken n' dumplings were a bit too salty, but seriously, pair them with a roll or some collard greens in the same bite and you're golden!! ;). We both cleaned our plates and I tried a bit of the banana pudding and white cake, both were PERFECT!
The prices were also very reasonable and they also have senior discounts.
By 4 pm, the place was PACKED! Hardly a single table was left in the place. To me, this is a great sign that the food and service are STELLAR and the local community is supporting this locally owned business.
By all accounts, this restaurant is a MUST GO TO when you find yourself in Panama City, FL.
You will NOT be disappointed at the service, the atmosphere (be sure to look UP to see the running train near the ceiling), the prices or the food. Everything was EXCELLENT and I will most definitely be back to enjoy their Friday Night Seafood Buffet (which the friendly local patron shared with me was phenomenal)!

Went with my Men's Group from church for breakfast. Had a wonderful time. The food and service was awesome. Loved the atmosphere with the train going over head.

Let me start by saying I know it was thanksgiving and everywhere was busy. But his review isn’t bad because of the amount of people who were here. Also let me say the food was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Good, hot, very tasty. When my wife, my 4 year old son and myself walked in we could tell it was a little busy due to it being thanksgiving. We walked in and there were 3 people behind the register desk. One was on the POS system cashing someone out. The other two were engaged in a conversation about one of their phones. As one had their phone out. Anyway, we walked in and at that time we were the only people in the lobby area and we stood their for about 2 whole minutes and no one else walked in and there was a sign stating things about there thanksgiving hours and meals. And pricing. And on the top of this sign is said please seat yourself. After not being confronted by any employee and seeing 6 tables open we went and took a table as the sign said seat yourself. When we got to the table someone from the front came to us very rudely and sarcastically asked if we were wanting to be seated after we had already sat. I explained the sign and our confusion as the sign said seat yourself and no one stopped us. And she then stated not today bc it’s thanksgiving. And it was our first time here as well so it was even more confusing as what to do. The way she talked to us made my wife want to leave and made us feel uncomfortable as this lady walked around the room and never stopped to say sorry for her tone she used with my family. I don’t usually write reviews of the bad kind. Especially since I’m a local and I manage a large casual dining restaurant here in Panama City beach. We seat a few hundred a day and I feel like my front of house people would know, if we were open on thanksgiving, if we had a sign that said seat yourself we would just simply turn that sign around to avoid confusion with the customers and my front of house manager would never ever approach a customer with that tone. As I trained her and most of my front of house staff. Or they could of placed one of the posters they had up stating the holiday specials and the holiday hours over the one single line that said please seat yourself. As the papers that were taped up were conveniently taped just under this line telling us to seat ourselves. I feel like this all could of been avoided. But at the end of the day the lady who approached us had a very rude tone over something that was a simple misunderstanding. And it was until 15 minutes after we sat that she started taking names for a wait list.
