We placed an online order for 10 wings (5 lemon pepper, 5 Louisiana rub), upgraded to voodoo fries, 7 tenders (2 citrus mojo, 5 original hot), and 5 pieces of hot honey corn. There was no option to request sauces on the side, so we called before and after placing the order to confirm, and were told it would be done.
When we got home, the wings had no seasoning or sauce at all, and none was in the bag. The tenders were supposed to have sauce on the side, but it wasn’t included. The fries were also wrong they gave us plain cheese fries.
We called, and the manager, Mike, asked us to bring the food back so he could fix it. We did, and explained everything clearly again to an employee outside. When the food came out, Mike had an attitude and said, “Hey, I took care of y’all, but you guys need to look better before saying your order’s wrong, because your order was made correct the first time. But I went ahead and redid it all anyway.”
We left, but when we got home again, the wings were still the same plain and not remade, with no sauce on the side. The fries were fixed but tasted oddly sweet, and the tender sauces were finally included.
I called back and asked for Mike. When I explained the issue, he became defensive, saying we were wrong and needed to go through the app better. He also said next time we should call ahead to make sure the order is correct, which we already did. He then said he was refunding us because we “didn’t know how things worked,” and hung up after arguing.
I called back again, and he answered, “Are you not outside?” I told him we were home. When I continued asking for a refund, he insisted the incorrect order was actually correct. The call became unprofessional, but he eventually said he would refund us.
Later, I called to ask for a corporate number or someone above a manager, but no one there could provide any contact information.
Overall, this was a frustrating experience. We received incorrect food multiple times and were treated poorly by management while trying to resolve the issue
Since they’ve opened, I’ve ordered 3 separate times now. The first time was last week, I had classic lemon pepper wings & the Asian zing; the lemon pepper was just ok, but the Asian zing was incredibly delicious, the fries were really good. The second time I got lemon pepper again, garlic Parmesan & fries; the wings could’ve used a bit more lemon pepper sauce again, the garlic parm was tasty. Tonight I got lemon pepper again and they were PERFECT! also got the hot honey rub and they were DELICIOUS, along with the fried corn with extra seasoning. I love the Ranch and appreciate that it’s not the prepackaged yucky ranch. I can’t see myself eating Zaxbys anymore, Wingstop is soooooo much better. I do wish the store was a little bit bigger because it’s extremely loud (teens not using their inside voice!) and crowded. The staff are very friendly, and they move with hustle. They have my admiration, as I personally would get aggravated working in such a small space with so many people.
