  Absolutely amazing experience at Chef Rolf’s. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a unique charm that makes you feel like you’re dining somewhere truly special. The service was attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. The food was simply incredible. Every dish was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with high quality ingredients. You can really taste the passion and creativity behind the menu. Special thanks to Richard, who took excellent care of us. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. We’ll definitely be coming back.

  I gave Chef Rolf’s 1-star across the board because 0-stars registers as no-review. Bad, unimaginative food, small, grossly overpriced portions and badly trained staff. Slow-to-nonexistent service, only equaled by the entire place’s lack of atmosphere. Seriously—no ambience whatsoever. The eateries inside Sarasota Memorial Hospital have both much better food AND ambience than this place. It’s a big boxy cave with a complete lack of decor sense. I was there with a group who had reservations well in advance for a 4:30 dinner. There was no “dinner rush”, and there was no one in the place. Our group was by ourselves on a Tuesday in a big empty dining room, and there were 2-3 people at the bar. There were more staff than patrons in the whole place. You’d think they’d be tripping over themselves to serve us and earn a good tip. The whole experience was painfully slow and off-putting. We couldn’t even get a cup of coffee afterwards. Luckily our group is gregarious and we were able to chat away the time, because —and we all agreed—Chef Rolf’s new venture is an epic failure. The entire experience was just bad. We did all give two-thumbs up to his traditional fried-apples dessert—which is more like a meal. So there’s that.

  Extremely disappointing experience. Our waitress’ behavior was honestly unacceptable and felt borderline fraudulent. In a single visit there were multiple issues that simply shouldn’t happen if someone is paying attention. First, part of our order never arrived, yet we were initially charged for sides that were supposed to come with the meal. When I pointed it out, it took time to correct. Second, we had vouchers that should have been applied to the bill. She didn’t apply them at first, and after I flagged it she only applied one... I had to ask again to get the rest properly reflected. Third, the bill included an unexplained “bar tax.” When I asked what exactly that meant, I got no clear explanation...just vague mumbling and no real answer. One mistake might be understandable. But several billing “errors” in such a short span, all of which increase the bill, is very concerning. It leaves the impression that customers are being charged for things they shouldn’t be. Overall, extremely poor customer service and a very disappointing experience.

  My impressions of this restaurant are extremely bad! The food was not fresh and the cooking was not tasty! And the prices are very high. I didn't expect to see such a large sum of money when paying! The waitresses are unkempt, honestly, it's unpleasant to look at them. I'm very disappointed! I don't recommend it!

  We have a reunion of school friends at least twice a year here. They are always accommodating and professional. The staff treat us like royalty!. We recommend this for all you gatherings. You will not be disappointed.
