  En muchos de esos lugares que se hacen llamar puertorriqueños, como este, no hay cocineros ni empleados boricuas, sino personas de otros países. La comida no sabe en absoluto a la puertorriqueña; incluso hay mofongos que parecen mangú, entre otros ejemplos. Los anuncios los hacen los dueños o alguna persona boricua para crear la apariencia de que es un restaurante 100% puertorriqueño, cuando en realidad no lo es. El cocinero es venezolanos al igual las empleadas, el dueño sólo va los sábados según me explicaron. No saben cocinar a lo boricua, deberían vender arepas. In many of those places that call themselves Puerto Rican, like this one, there are no Puerto Rican cooks or employees, but rather people from other countries. The food does not taste Puerto Rican at all; there are even mofongos that look like mangú, among other examples. The advertisements are made by the owners or by a Puerto Rican person to create the appearance that it is a 100% Puerto Rican restaurant, when in reality it is not. The cook is venezuelan, as well as the employees, the owner only goes on Saturdays, as they explained to me. They cannot cook Puerto Rican food, may as well sell arepas.

  Great food with excellent flavor. Our favorites are the sandwiches, especially the pastrami and the jibarito.

  We’ve lived right up the street for forever and finally decided to try the mofongo bowls after seeing them on TikTok—and we’re so glad we did! The food was amazing, the portions were great for the price, and everything was packed with flavor. We’ll definitely be back!
