  Pollo Tropical is very Americanized Cuban food, but this branch does not disappoint when it comes to their quality. The location was slammed, and it seemed they did not have enough staff to meet everyone's needs, but they were as helpful as they could be while getting good food to their customers. Their green sauce was impeccable, and their pork (in any form) never disappoints. Come for anytime other than noon, and you may be more lucky to get instant service, but this place could easily be a return location when in the area.

  Ok first off today 4/7/2026 i ordered and got a salad with my meal. Biting into the salad 🥗 i had a mouth full of broken plastic. Brought it to the manager in the red shirt so she was aware of it and she could one not really speak English but copped and attitude saying it was from (My) plastic knife that i told her i didnt use but really how do you break a plastic knife into pieces? Then she smirked and was like ok ok what do you want ? I said i didn't want nothing other then to tell them what i found in my food. They didnt even go and throw out the salad behind the counter? What if a child ate and swallowed it? Or anybody for that matter. Unreal.

  I visited Pollo Tropical at 10:47 PM, even though the posted closing time is 12:00 AM. I was told it would take 40 minutes to prepare an Original Family Meal because there was nothing on the grill. This was more than an hour before closing, yet it appeared that grilling had already been stopped. Multiple customers left after hearing the wait time, which made it seem like this is being done to discourage orders and allow the staff to shut down early. The manager on duty identified herself as Lizabeth, but no employees were wearing name tags, which made it difficult to verify who was actually in charge. She provided several inconsistent explanations about why grilling had stopped so early. When I stated I was willing to wait, the staff appeared frustrated rather than accommodating. This experience was unprofessional and unacceptable. Corporate needs to implement stronger quality control and oversight at this location to ensure staff are following proper procedures and serving customers during posted business hours. I expect this issue to be reviewed and addressed.

  My boyfriend bought home some lunch since I work from home and this is what he brought back to me. He ordered us a Tropical Trio each. He takes my steak since I don’t like the steak due to the lime flavor but he leaves everything else for me to enjoy. When I opened up the plate, I noticed my pork was not in the usual container. Not only was it not in the container, I received the smallest bit of pork in the corner of my plate. I order from Pollo Tropical very often so I know what to expect. I’m not sure what’s going on as I don’t care to know. I want what I paid for & adding an extra plantain isn’t compensating for the pork that comes with the meal. What I noticed about the Pollo Tropicals between Orlando & Tampa is that they’re not feeling up the beans. The container is mostly bean juice. As someone who prefers pollo tropical for nutrition, I’m expecting consistency with all locations. This isn’t a $5 plate, it’s $15. Stop scamming people

  I ordered my food for carry out through the pollo tropical app and usually I am one to let small things go here or there, but I was missing a family side of Mac and cheese, so I attempted to call the store to try and speak with someone about it. After multiple attempts to speak with an actual person, I could only get the automated customer service rep in which I had to jump through many hoops and was left with a deceptive message that I would receive a text in which to file my missing Item report. So now I am out a large side and left with my only choice of leaving a poor rating for my frustrations with the company. I literally just wanted the side refunded since I understand mistakes happen but the fact that they make it impossible to reach out to the physical store is really irritating.
