Try the scallops, they're delicious, don't believe me ask the dishes!!! Hands down the absolute best meal ate while at Disney and we have tried some of the other high end restaurants. To start, Omar, our server went out of his way to make great recommendations and provide us the best service possible. Furthermore, one of the chefs in the kitchen observed my son watching, as they prepared our dinner. To our surprise, the head chef came out and presented my son with a chef's hat signed by all the staff. This had such a huge impression on him that he went home and wanted to learn more about cooking. Thank you for a wonderful experience and meal!

This is one of my favorite places to go on Disney property. While it is on the more pricey side the food is always fresh, the service is 10/10. If you're looking for a more upscale meal in Disney, this is one of the best options!

Wanted so badly to love this place. The atmosphere is incredible and it’s been on our list to try for years. We finally came for my husband’s birthday, which felt like the perfect occasion. The food itself was beautifully presented and came out quickly, so no complaints there. Unfortunately, the experience was overshadowed by our server. In decades of visiting Disney, both Walt Disney World and Disneyland, I’ve never encountered a Cast Member who felt so uninterested in guests. I’m not sure if he was having a bad day, but the interaction felt cold and transactional from start to finish. When I asked for something but said no rush at all (trying to make things easier for him), he rolled his eyes. There were no pleasantries, just short, passive-aggressive responses. It wasn’t necessarily what he said, but how he said it that left an impression. I had marked my husband’s birthday on the reservation and mentioned it to the host stand, but it didn’t seem to make it to our server. After hearing a very flat “happy birthday” delivered to the table next to us, I decided not to bring it up. We quietly paid and left and decided to get dessert elsewhere and eat it in our room. We come to Disney because the hospitality at the resorts and restaurants is usually exceptional. That sense of warmth and care is a big part of the Disney experience. Unfortunately, that feeling was missing here. We left feeling more like inconveniences than guests. Based on the reactions from the table next to us, it didn’t seem like we were the only ones having that experience. The name on our check was Ryan B. (he wasn’t wearing a name badge). I’m sharing this feedback because Disney is known for its hospitality, and I hope the team can ensure every guest receives the kind of experience people travel here expecting.

We used to love this restaurant. It was my favorite. We have been going there since it opened. The food was absolutely delicious before Covid then they changed chefs, etc. The potatoe crusted red snapper was my favorite, then everything changed. The wine reduction sauce tastes like molasses. They don't even have a green salad on the menu. They used to have a Caesar salad and a tomato caprese salad. We asked our waiter and he said the menu changes with the seasons. That is a lie, because they have now had the same menu for the last two years or more. What a big disappointment! We will not be back until they can change their menu.

Our overall experience was very good; the only reason it loses one star is the final billing. Be CAREFUL if you split the check!! The recommended tipping schedule is based on the ENTIRE bill, not just your portion. I'll provide more on this at the end of the review. We arrived a little after 9pm after having a cocktail at the AbracadaBar. Flying Fish is one restaurant on one side of the bar with an Italian restaurant on the opposite side. Since we had eaten at the Italian side previously, we went with Flying Fish as we were both ready for seafood. We approached the hostess stand and stated we did not have a reservation. She asked if we would care to sit at the bar and we both said yes. We were led to our seats and greeted by the 5-star bartender, Daniel! He was the perfect bartender; he was pleasant, punctual and checked on us regularly. We had a great rapport with Daniel, and he added to our enjoyment of the evening. He made several suggestions (some of which we had already agreed on perusing the menu) and we placed our orders. We shared the appetizers as well as our entrees so that we could have a well-rounded tasting of the menu. We started with the Lobster Bisque ($19), which Daniel split into separate bowls for us based on my friend's request. It was tasty, but I don't think I found one piece of lobster in my bowl. We also shared the Steamed Mussels ($20) which included house-made sweet sausage in the pork broth and a delicious black garlic aioli on the side. We both agreed the mussels were quite small, but they were good. They were served with burnt toast which was not visually appealing. I took the charred one so that my friend could have the less burnt one. I'm surprised the kitchen allowed it to be presented that way, but it was the end of the evening. For our entrees, I chose the Plancha-seared Scallops ($54) with savory grits and sweet corn, and my friend had the Chilean Sea Bass ($54) with potatoes. The presentation of both was outstanding and the taste of each was phenomenal (we shared)! The Sea Bass was covered in a crispy fish skin on top of the filet that was translucent, and it had an interesting taste. I went with the recommended wine pairing of the Cakebread Cellars Chardonnay ($29) and my friend had the BIN 702 Rose ($21). The meal and the wine accompaniments were excellent! Which brings me back to the checks. We were having such a good time (Daniel even commented on our energy and was glad we sat at the bar), that we really didn't pay attention to the tip recommendations. We signed off on our bills and a few minutes later, I realized I gave over a 40 percent tip based on the tip recommendations! I pointed this out to my friend, and she did the same thing, too! She thanked me for catching it because hers was a business meal expense and she could have gotten in trouble for such a large tip. Daniel said we could just initial our changes, and he would take care of entering in the correct amounts. He apologized and said the computer system printout of the bills provides recommended tips on the total charge rather than individual split portions. Recommendation to the Flying Fish staff - this should be pointed out to the customer(s) when a split bill is provided or at least it should be highlighted on each split bill that the recommended tip is based on the total billing rather than your individual tab.
