We ordered the SJ Burrito Jr with Carne Asada and Ground Beef and it was so delicious. We also got Chicken Fajitas and Relleno with Mole. Lala is the best! Very friendly and knowledgeable. I totally recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for a great Mexican Offering.

The waitress was very friendly. The food was very good and filling. I liked the seasoning on the steak and chicken fajitas. The sides included guacamole, some places you have to order it extra. The initial chips and salsa was small, but it was lunchtime so we didn't ask for more. Note: With Chevy's leaving and Abuelo's in the loop closing, we have been trying other Mexican restaurants to find one we like enough to repeat. This one is one we will go to again.

The Food: Absolutely Phenomenal (5/5 Stars) First and foremost, the food was fabulous—truly awesome, authentic Mexican cuisine. Every dish was perfectly prepared, flavorful, and delivered quickly. This is definitely a place to visit purely for the quality of the meal. We were seated at the bar, and despite the restaurant not being full at all, the vibe was great. The restaurant itself is clearly well-maintained and provides a lovely setting for a meal. We wholeheartedly recommend San Jose's for its incredible food and pleasant environment. The total was paid with a cash amount that required a significant change return (over $20), and the waitress asked, "Do you want your change back?" This is completely out of line and highly inappropriate, especially considering the large amount. It felt extremely rude and totally out of context for a casual dining experience. However, the management should consider addressing this type of interaction. Go For The Fantastic Food !!
