  The place has a 1950s inspired soda shop/drug store style asthetic with modern ordering. The menu has a variety of options availble for classic American meals. The food quality is good and you get value for your money.

  Portillos is a guilty pleasure for me. I love the food but it's on the other side of town.. so anytime I happen to be in the area, I have to stop. The hotdogs are the OG draw (coworkers and extended family from Chicago are the ones who shared Portillos), but I enjoy everything on the menu. Steak Sandwitches (not a Philly but its own brand of awesome), sausage sandwitches, burgers, their cake (and cake shakes). Well worth trying at least once.

  This place is THE WORST!! I ATE THERE 1/21, my salad was brown and slimy. I returned it to the cashier Mary and asked for a refund. She asked if I wanted a replacement salad and I said NO. She took my debit card and ran it again and said my refund would be coming. Well I waited 3 weeks and no refund. Called the store and spoke to the manager JIM who was NO HELP AT ALL. He claims they do not give refunds after 4 hours ( I returned my food in 3 minutes) and he would send me a coupon for a salad. I explained what the cashier said and that I want my $16.00 back and I have both receipts. He then said they don't do refunds...... seriously???? What place doesn't do refunds. He then told me he had to get off the phone and gave me a number to call. I called the number and there was a recording that hangs up so you can't leave a message. VERY NICE JIM! GREAT JOB! So now I will be reporting call of this to the better business bureau and the health department. It's not about $16.00, it's about being LIED to and treated poorly. You may want to feed people nasty food and get away with it, but not that s time. Might I also add the 2 people I was with threw there food away because it was disgusting. BTW I have both my receipts showing the purchase and the "REFUND DUE" that I never received and was now told I am not getting. Trust me this is not over 😄 FYI!!!!! it's one month later and was promised a refund repeatedly and still haven't received it !!! GREAT JOB. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! SCAMMERS FOR SURE!!

  I have enjoyed Portillos for Years. When they opened in the Chicago area I ate there regularly. I was So Excited to find Portillos while traveling in Orlando. The Food was Fresh and Delicious. The Fries were Crispy on the outside, Hot and Fluffy on the inside. They were so good I didn't use any sauce. The People were Cheerful, Attentive, Professional and Helpful. The Order was prepared Quickly and Correctly. The Decor appears Authentic Vintage and Unique Pieces and Posters.   Atmosphere: Portillos is similar to a Johnny Rockets. The inside is decorated with nostalgic things from the 50ies and up. Its cute and diner style like with booths and tables and chairs from way back when you went to grandma's and sat in the kitchen on the nice leather cushioned chairs. Food: So the burgers are ok. Similar texture to wendys. Mine tasted like it was sitting in the windows for some time, crusty and not as hot and fresh as I would have liked. The roll wasn't that great, mine looked like someone sat on it. It was a thick roll more or less used as a "Filler" to fill you up with cheap filling. They went a bit crazy with the mustard, despite asking for it on my burger, it was like I was having a mustard sandwich. Checked out the hot dogs but was a bit disappointed that they didn't have kraut as an option for hot dogs. Hot dogs were a cheap quality hot dog. Could have used a Thumanns hot dog or Dietz & Watson or even a Texas Wiener hot dog. Fries were hot, fresh and good. Other than that the food was alright, good dive for after your done drinking if you need something to absorb thr alcohol despite not being open late.
