We wanted to eat like locals and did just that! Nikki's Place is a nice stop on our tour of the area. The soul food menu was great. We enjoyed the southern items (neckbones, particularly)! The food portions were great, especially for the prices.
Our table ordered 4 separate meals:
1. BBQ wings, w/ yellow rice, string beans and Mac n cheese with a corn muffin.
2. Dark fried chicken platter, yellow rice, collard greens and Mac n cheese with a corn muffin.
3. Fried cat fish, yellow rice, candied yams, collard greens and corn muffin.
4. Neckbones over white rice, cabbage, black eyed peas and a corn muffin.

I had the opportunity to stop by Nikki's place last month while visiting Orlando. I always try to patronize a black owned business when travel. I picked my cousin up from the airport and she and I went straight to Nikki's. When we arrived, Tokyo greeted us and let us come on in and sit down although they were not officially open just yet.
Tokyo was absolutely amazing from the moment we arrived until we departed. Tokyo took exceptionally good care of us. Nikki's had a lot of call in orders, so the place wasn't crowded at all, which I enjoyed. It was my cousin's birthday weekend, so we ordered an array of food. The food was delicious!
The meals were huge in proportion. I took a bread pudding, and my cousin took cake to go. In all honesty, the bread pudding was not the best. It was too wet and soggy, but hey we all have our days where our food didn't come out like expected.
Overall, I would definitely dine at Nikki's again especially if Tokyo is there!

Typed “best restaurants downtown” on our way to do a project at the library, and Niki’s came up. I have seen it featured on several orlando based foodie accounts, but just hadn’t bee able to place what area it was in. we are SO glad we came in today. the staff is so welcoming and patient. Our son is very specific with food likes and we came just in time for pancakes and breakfast! everything we ordered was hot, flavorful, and very generous portions. Definitely felt like i was back home sitting at my grandmas kitchen table! we cannot wait to come back, and im floored they aren’t rated 5 stars bc that was our experience.
Nikki’s Place is absolutely amazing! My husband is from Georgia, and he said this is the only place he’s been to that truly made him feel like home. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted so warmly and made to feel very comfortable. They took their time helping us decide on our meal, which we really appreciated. The food was full of flavor and cooked with real soul. The lunch special was very affordable, and we’ve officially found our new go-to place to eat. Highly recommend!

I came here today with my boyfriend, I was visiting him to FL. and I was looking for some soul food. (Coming from Atlanta) I stay on soul food lol and I bumped into this suggestion through Google. And let me just say EVERYTHING and everyone was so inviting and the food was soooo delicious! Wish they had this place here in Atl. I can brutally say Nikki's has been the top #1 soul food I've had from every state I've tried and tasted this place has the trophy! Omg everything was so good! I recommend this 👌 👏 if you've haven't been here! IM DEFINITELY going back before my bf comes back home! Thank you to my waitress im so sorry I suck at names. Seems she hurt her foot. (Hope she recuperates soon) she was just amazing! She reminded me of Megan the stallion. 😁 she was so great and her service was top notch! Thank you ♥️ so much for the welcoming and great food alongside with the friendliest people!
