  Ya Mecatos no es lo mismo que antes. La atención al cliente ha bajado mucho. Las empleadas que nos atendieron no fueron muy amables; mi hermana y yo dijimos “gracias” al pagar y no recibimos ninguna respuesta, lo cual deja una mala impresión. En cuanto a la comida, la cachapa estaba poco cocida, muy blanda y un poco fría, como recién salida de la nevera. La arepa de carne asada estaba salada y también fría. El café sí estaba bien, y el servicio fue rápido; quizá demasiado rápido, lo que podría estar afectando la calidad y el cuidado en la preparación. Entendemos que los precios han subido y no tenemos problema con eso, pero la atención al detalle ha disminuido considerablemente, lo cual es lamentable. Además, el menú y la preparación son más bien de estilo venezolano, no colombiano. Las empanadas las hacen con harina PAN, lo que les da un sabor más dulce. En Colombia, por ejemplo, la empanada hawaiana tradicionalmente se prepara con harina de trigo; de lo contrario, queda demasiado dulce y cambia completamente el sabor. Es una lástima, porque era un lugar que solíamos disfrutar.

  La comida es espectacular pero me lleve la sorpresa que pedi un omelette (huevos con queso y jamon) y resulta que hay pedir con jamón y queso los huevos, como adicion, entonces ennel menu se contradice porque también ofrecen huevos revueltos. A la final pague un omelette pero eran huevos revueltos solos. Por eso le doy 2 estrellas porque eso es una falta de respeto.

  Very disappointing experience. I expected my breakfast to be much better, but unfortunately the experience was ruined. I mentioned that my coffee was too strong, but I was completely ignored. The restaurant was not busy, yet no one came back to check on me or offer any solution. The service was poor from the start, and the waitress never returned to my table to address the issue. The waitresses constantly gave unfriendly looks, and the atmosphere felt very tense from the moment I arrived, as if they didn’t want to serve customers. Customer service definitely needs improvement.

  Today I receive a combo a gift for my birthday. The young lady who took care of me gave me some suggestions and I did go for it. She couldn’t be more on point with the Colombian burger. Even for “Togo order” presentation was there, flavor great and I loved it. In substitution of a missing item, they offer me a guava pan de bono wish it was on point. Gracias mil por la atención y por el servicio! Bendiciones!❤️

  First time at this Lake Underhill Mecatos location and I cannot wait to return! Had the chicken and cheese Arepa 🫓 with a Colombian Café Latte. ☕️ 🤤💯🤌🏽 Ate with an Elderly family friend and ALL the staff members were super nice, and patient with her slow ordering process. Highly recommend this location for their cleanliness, comfortable atmosphere and even better food y Café 🇨🇴 Colombiano! P. S. Make sure to ask for a side of mayo, a side of honey for your coffee and a side of their fancy cilantro sauce as a dip dipping sauce. 😋 ℹ️ Info/ Tip: You will thank me later, this cilantro sauce pairs well with everything on their menu: empanadas, Arepas, different types of meats, and their Pan de Queso (different types of cheese breads).
