When I filled out the order, I entered my friend’s name in the “For” section, assuming that was the name the order would be listed under. I later learned that the order is actually labeled with the account holder’s name instead. When I went to pick up the order, a female employee asked what name I was looking for. I gave my friend’s name, but she told me that was wrong. After some confusion, she eventually found the order — the bag had my account name, while the food label itself had my friend’s name. So my confusion was understandable. What made this experience upsetting was the employee’s reaction. When she told me the order was under a different name, she slammed my soda cup down on the counter in a clearly aggressive and unprofessional way before walking away. I was taken aback by how unnecessary and disrespectful that behavior was. I immediately spoke with a male employee (possibly a manager) to report the incident. If employees are unhappy, they shouldn’t take it out on customers. This was my first time placing a mobile order at Chipotle — and unfortunately, it will be my last. I hope Chipotle improves its hiring and training standards so that customers are treated with respect in the future.
