  This establishment has unfortunately gone down in service in my opinion. We felt rushed to get our order in once we sat down but then my daughter’s sushi order didn’t come until everyone was finished with their HOT dinners. Then to add to the disappointment they got her sushi order wrong. We brought this to the attention of our server who then said she needed me to remove the wrong order and put it on another plate so she could show the chefs. I then asked to speak to the manager. After speaking to the manager they informed me that it is unfortunately company policy to show the chefs their mistakes. Either your company doesn’t trust your workers or there is a quality mismanagement happening in my opinion. Regardless the customer experience should be top priority, not dictating to the customers what the company policies are. If this is a nonnegotiable policy then I would suggest having them put each roll on their own separate plate so as not to have to ruin the customer experience due to your workers mistakes in my opinion. And I’ll add you need to reupholster your booths. The material is cracked and falling apart and very uncomfortable to sit on.

  Great atmosphere and better food. The Sakitini was quite the happy hour treat to go with delightful food. One of my favorites is a salmon skin hand roll, our server recommended the spicy aoli with the hand roll, and it was quite a treat. Great place!

  Hot Tuna is my favorite restaurant in the neighborhood. The staff are incredible whether you are dining alone, with one friend, or having a birthday party of a dozen guests. The food is FRESH and the menu is amazing. I've tried every item on the menu & can tell you that I've never been disappointed. Happy hour sushi rolls at $5 each in 2026 is a unicorn. Every member of this restaurant is fantastic. We laugh every single time we visit Hot Tuna. 100 out of 10.

  We normally come here often and the last few times I’ve noticed is not as well ran as it used to be. Tonight was the last straw. We (2 people) waited about 20 minutes to be seated which was not too bad, however the food took 47 mins after ordering for 3 simple sushi rolls, not even specialty rolls. People that got seated before us got their food a lot faster which leads me to believe they forgot our order. When I asked the manager, she advised they were 2 cooks short which is not my concern as a customer but rather poor management or logistical planning for the busiest night of the week. The manager lacks empathy and focus on customer service. We finally got our rolls and she never came to check or apologize. I will no longer go back.
