I’ve been a loyal Sonic fan for over 10 years. I’ve always loved the drive-in concept, the huge menu variety, and the fair prices.
My go-to is usually the Sonic Burger meal with a chocolate chip cookie dough shake, and typically, my experiences are very positive. However, tonight’s visit was disappointing.
We originally ordered two items, then called back moments later to add two more of the exact same items. We were told they couldn't add to the existing order and forced us to start a second one.
To give credit where it’s due, the food arrived quickly. The mozzarella sticks were fresh and the slushies were delicious as always.
The issue was the service. Since we were forced to have two separate orders, we informed the carhop that the money provided was to cover both. When they brought the change back, it was nearly $3—all in loose coins. To make matters worse, the carhop didn't count the change back and essentially threw the handful of coins into my hand. It felt incredibly dismissive, likely because they didn't want to deal with the coins they chose to give me.
I really hope management uses this as a teaching moment for the associates on professional conduct and basic customer service. I love Sonic, but this experience left a bad taste in my mouth.

I would have given a perfect score even tho I dont ever stay at the location, BUT im not happy that the hours got changed! I was there several times a week between 6 and 630. Now they dont open until 7...what about us who work earlier? This is uncool sonics...uncool!!!
