She was also our waitress, and was very professional and answered all our questions patiently. The food was generously portioned, hot, fresh and delicious. The cost was reasonable and the atmosphere was pleasant and clean. We will put this place on our "visit again" soon list. Well done El Mezcal Mexican!

I drive over an hour at least twice a month to enjoy what, to me, used to be a good experience. However, something suddenly changed. Yesterday, I stopped by around 3 p.m. Even though I noticed the restaurant wasn’t busy, I had to wait at the door for over 10 minutes, despite two employees, one being Carlos, the manager, making eye contact with us more than once. Finally, Zahyri sat us down, and it took another 10 minutes for her to come back with some chips and salsa. Again, she left, and about 5 minutes later, she returned with the drinks and took our order. The chiles rellenos and the tostadas came out a bit faster, but to my surprise, everything was reheated. The cheese looked like it had been reheated and/or left under a heat lamp for too long. I asked for the check and expressed my concern to Zahyri, to which she replied, “We are short-staffed, and I’m doing everything by myself.” By that point, I knew I had to say something, so I asked for the manager, who had conveniently stepped out, according to the waitress. I asked for his card, and she pointed me to the phone number printed on the receipt. Later, around 6:30, I tried calling, and once again Zahyri said that Carlos had stepped out and wasn’t available. I guess no answer was my answer. This was just my experience, and it’s up to you whether or not you decide to visit this place.
