When we pulled in the parking lot, we noticed there was a dog standing on a dining table inside the restaurant in full view of the cash register. We initially dismissed it as a rogue customer, but then an employee walked up and smiled at the dog on the table, then walked away without saying anything to the owner. We sent a message to McDonald’s corporate and their response was effectively franchisees can do whatever they want. I love dogs. I have a dog, but I don’t let him on food surfaces. We drive past this location frequently, but won’t eat there anymore due to hygiene concerns, employee inaction, and corporate’s lack of concern.
