  A true New Smyrna Beach landmark. Norwood's has a fantastic atmosphere, and the Treehouse Bar is an absolute highlight—perfect for enjoying a glass of wine with a breeze. The seafood is incredibly fresh, and the service is always professional and welcoming. It’s the kind of place where you can feel the history in every corner. Whether you’re here for a full dinner or just some drinks and appetizers, it’s an experience you can’t miss. A classic that never disappoints!

  As always, great food, service and atmosphere at Norwoods today. We’ve never been disappointed and will continue to bring friends and family whenever we can. Because of the moon launch the place was absolutely slammed but Dev did an excellent job of serving several different tables at once and still maintained a personable yet professional attitude. I always have the she crab soup and my husband enjoys the zucchini bread, both delicious. All their seafood dishes are amazing and obviously prepared from scratch. Love this restaurant, will definitely be back soon even though it’s a 45 minute drive to get here.

  I usually truly enjoy my time at Norwoods, but today 3/28 in the Treehouse at around 2:45 in the afternoon, my fiancé and I were definitely the youngest at the bar. Not only were we completely ignored while the bartenders were chatting, a couple older than us sat down next to us, were immediately given a smile and waters and the bartender LITERALLY looks at us says nothing directly in front of us and just closes the cooler and tends to someone else. As a former Bartender myself I was ready to give a good tip and spend my money but instead we sat ignored for at LEAST 10 minutes. We left and truthfully will probably never be back.

  This was our first time at the Norwood Treehouse Restaurant and we were blown away! The history of the place is so enriched! Atmosphere and decor are definitely refreshing! There was plenty of parking when we arrived at 5pm and place was pretty clean... We had Michele H as our wonderful waitress! I would say more of a historian, personal travel guide & culinary pro! As our first time, Michele took her time to show us the ropes of the menu and described dishes very well! (For a picky eater she had me at Fresh and locally grown ingredients) I had the Mediterranean Salmon & Hubby had the Admirals Platter and the Gumbo... everything was delicious! We also enjoyed the Passion Heat Margaritas 🍹 also very good. Over all we loved the place, its history & will Def come back! Thank You Michele!

  Norwood’s Restaurant & Treehouse Bar is one of the most unique dining experiences in New Smyrna Beach. The treehouse bar alone is worth the visit - built up in the trees with lights strung throughout, it has a laid-back but memorable atmosphere that feels like a hidden spot you’d never find on your own. The food backs it up too. They’re known for fresh seafood, but the menu is broad - everything from steaks and pasta to solid shareable plates like shrimp & grits and bacon-wrapped scallops.  It’s one of those places where a group can go and everyone finds something they want. Service is friendly, the place runs smoothly even when it’s busy, and the whole experience feels like a staple of the area. It’s been around since the 1940s, and you can tell it’s a spot locals and visitors both keep coming back to. If you’re in New Smyrna, this is one of those places you should hit at least once - especially for drinks up in the treehouse.
