Let's see, i have to place the order myself, i have to pickup the 'for here' order at the counter because the girl can't bother to read the order, and then I have to fill my own drinks. When is McDonald's going to start paying customers for doing the work their employees are supposed to be doing?

My review today is about the McDonald's located at 1842 New Smyrna Beach. The service was terrible, extremely slow. I waited over 25 minutes. There were two drive-thru lanes, but they were only serving one; the other was completely stopped. More than 5 or 6 people from the right lane went through, while the left lane didn't move at all. The service at the window was awful: not even a "good morning" or "good afternoon." After a 25-minute wait, the food was cold and tasteless, and the nuggets looked like they were made two days ago. In short, McDonald's deserves a 0 out of 10 today.

Shout out to Mercedes tonight, she was the ONLY person in the drive thru AND training a new hire while giving and taking orders and didn’t miss one item!! She needs a raise and promotion!

This location was our “go-to” with consistent good dining experience, happy playtime and decent quality fast food. Not healthy, but fun 😊 My family especially enjoyed this location to dine in because of the play area and the friendly staff.
However, since they renovated this location, everything about this place has gone downhill. You can no longer go in and order from a human, since there is never anyone at the register, you must order from one of the kiosks. When the food does arrive (at least 20 minutes later), there are mistakes galore! And forget about receiving a full order of fries! Also, it’s clear no one maintains the dining area: the bathrooms are disgusting, the garbage is overflowing and it’s clear no one wipes down the tables.
I can only assume this location changed the priority to the drive-thru because of beach traffic. But when you take away the human interaction, it makes it easier for the staff to give less of a crap.
