I haven’t even gotten the chance to eat here yet and I would like to give a 5 star just for service. I was picking up as a delivery driver a the guy at the front desk today, Cody, was super positive and sweet. He makes everyone feel welcomed and important. Just go that I would come again to eat here

Ive ordered and went to this location many times. But after my last visit I will never return. I took my family of 5, which there were only 3 of us at the time, for take out dinner and the "kid" that took our order was rather rude about what we ordered. He kept asking me if I understood what I was ordering. I told him multiple times, yes I understand what I am ordering. This was after he gave me a nasty look, looked me up and down. After he walked back to the other workers and I can only imagine what was said because all of a sudden all eyes were on my family and I after he pointed us out and laughter soon was to follow. I am sorry but I am coming into your restaurant it should not matter what I order as long as when I tap that card it goes through. I left feeling very judged and shamed for what my family had ordered. I will not be going back to this location again.

I am writing to formally complain about an extremely disappointing experience my fiancé and I had at your restaurant while picking up an order we placed through the Five Guys app.
Our order number was #58, which consisted of two burgers and fries. When we arrived, the restaurant was busy, and I completely understand that delays can happen during high-volume times. However, what we experienced went far beyond a simple delay.
While waiting, I could clearly see our bag sitting on the counter waiting for fries. The employees appeared to be working through orders sequentially, which made sense. However, the employees preparing the orders suddenly skipped ahead and completed order #68, even though multiple earlier orders — including ours (#58) — were still waiting.
I mentioned that our order had been placed earlier and that the only thing missing was the fries. The employee responded by yelling “We’re working on it” and immediately turned her back to me. I waited a little longer, but then she continued calling other orders including #67, several DoorDash orders, and #61, while orders #54 through #58 were still sitting there unfinished.
I brought it up again and asked why our order (#58) was being skipped. Again, with visible attitude, she repeated “We’re working on it.” and basically the attitude ill get to you when I get ready.
At that point, I asked to speak with a supervisor. A woman wearing a black shirt — who I believe the cashier identified as Vicky — responded by yelling “They gotta do the white tickets first” before turning her back on us. There was no attempt to explain the process, no apology, and no effort to address the situation professionally.
Both employees were extremely rude and showed a complete lack of customer service or concern. We were left standing there watching later orders being completed while ours continued to be ignored.
Eventually, I asked the young woman at the register for a refund. She genuinely tried to assist us, but explained she was unable to process it. A gentleman working the grill had to step in and tell the fry station to finally put fries in our bag so we could receive our food.
What made the experience even worse was that I had already left a tip through the app before arriving, assuming we would receive the usual Five Guys level of service. Unfortunately, the treatment we received was the worst I have experienced at any restaurant.
If ticket numbers represent order sequence, there should be no reason customers are skipped without explanation. If that is not how your system works, then there should be a better process for handling busy periods so customers are not left feeling ignored or mistreated.
Regardless of how busy a restaurant may be, no customer should ever be treated with disrespect or dismissed when asking a simple question about their order.
I strongly encourage management to review the camera footage from the time of this incident so you can see exactly how this situation unfolded rather than relying solely on hearsay.
I hope this issue is taken seriously and that steps are taken to ensure other customers do not have a similar experience.
Sincerely
What is the Five Guys story/How did you guys get your name?
Five Guys began its pursuit to redefine the global burger landscape in 1986 when Jerry and Janie Murrell asked three of their sons whether they wanted to start a business or go to college. Now, three decades after our first location opened in Arlington, Va., Five Guys – a fast-casual restaurant chain named for the Murrells' five sons – serves a classic take on hamburgers, fries and milkshakes in more than 1,700 locations across 24 countries.
You can read more about the story of Five Guys at www.FiveGuys.com!
How many restaurants does Five Guys have?
As of January 2026, we have more than 1,900 locations in over 24 countries!
Does Five Guys offer delivery?
Most North American locations offer delivery. The best way to find out if the location nearest to you offers delivery is to visit our website or download the app.
Additionally, we work with all major third-party delivery companies in the U.S., including DoorDash and Uber, so feel free to search for Five Guys through their platforms!
Does Five Guys offer gluten-free options?
The only products we offer that contain gluten are our buns, hot dogs (Canada only), HP sauce (UK only), and the malt vinegar condiment for our fries. In Canada, our Poutine Gravy condiment also contains gluten. All of our sandwiches, including burgers, hot dogs and the veggie sandwich, are available without a bun via our wrap or bowls.
While our crew members do all they can to avoid it, there is always a risk of cross-contamination. Please review our nutritional, ingredient and allergen chart for the most accurate information.
Why does Five Guys have peanuts for free?
Serving peanuts for free began as a way for people to pass the time while they waited for us to cook up their meals (way back in the day, before smartphones). It was such a hit, and has become such a Five Guys tradition, that we keep our stores stocked with peanuts to this day.
What is the best way to reheat leftover fries?
Leftover fries are excellent reheated in the oven (or Air Fryer). According to Chad Murrell, one of the Five Guys, just pop them in a 350-degree oven for about 10-15 minutes.
Also, give those leftover fries a try as hash browns, home fries, or even as the filling in an omelet.
Why is Five Guys switching from a fry cup to a fry bag?
We are switching to fry bags to ensure your fries stay fresher and as part of our larger commitment to the environment. The bags allow air to circulate better, so fries stay fresh during delivery and takeout. Same portions, same great fries – just smarter packaging that’s also better for the environment.
