I do not have high or unreasonable expectations for service workers or restaurant owners, but I do expect the bare minimum: a simple acknowledgment when I walk through the door. Despite making eye contact with the employee behind the counter, there was no greeting, no “hello,” no “welcome,” not even a “one moment, please.” Nothing. Instead, the employee continued working on an Uber order directly in front of us without offering any acknowledgment whatsoever. Completing online orders is understandable, but ignoring customers standing in your establishment is not. Because of this poor and unprofessional experience, we chose to leave and take our business elsewhere. We ended up at the San Miguel Mexican Restaurant a few doors down and had a significantly better experience. I would recommend going there instead.
