It was honestly mediocre at best. Being a 4 Seasons property, I expected much, much more. First, the restaurant is essentially in the lobby of the property. Little to no water view from the restaurant. Reservations were for 7:45pm and we were not seated until around 8:30pm, despite having made the reservations a month in advance. Food was not the greatest. Slow bread service, mushroom soup was lacking flavor, tuna carpaccio was actually outstanding, short rib was dry and needed much more sauce, snapper was good but came drowning in mixed veggies. Drinks were 6/10 in strength, speed, availability. As I stated before, we wanted to come here so it checked that box. Unfortunately, with the hyper competitive landscape of top tier restaurants in Naples, you can get better food for a better value, with better ambiance in any similar tier 1 property. Skip dinner here and head to HBs or hogfish which is nearby.
Having dined at the Merchant room half a dozen times this season, my guests and I experienced consistently creative, tasty and well executed dishes. Service was first class. And the inside room has a nice buzz with its location juxtaposed to the lobby of the Four Seasons. Outside dining on the patio is also pleasant. We experienced none of the inconsistency or growing pains (the restaurant opened late 2025) referenced by other diners. It's not inexpensive but it is well worth the price.

Amazing dinner and view at The Merchant Room. We were able to get a table outside with a breathtaking sunset view. To start we had the freshly baked bread which was to die for. For appetizers we ordered the red snapper tartare and the foie gras terrine. Both appetizers were delicious and extremely flavorful. For our main meals we had the pork chop and ribeye. Both were cooked perfectly, while the ribeye was buttery the pork chop was juicy. Service is still being refined, as the restaurant has not yet reached a smooth and consistent rhythm, but I’m sure they will get there with time.

The service here was atrocious. Server had us waiting for eggs for over 30 minutes. We couldn't locate her down. The buffet area had no plates, no spoons, no syrup and barely any salmon left. Upon trying to leave as I had a business meeting to get too, the server took 25 minutes to bring the bill. My wife had to chase her down with the plate of french toast in her hand to get it boxed since she forgot the take out box twice, then once again disappeared again with our food. Two other tables scolded her the wait time but we just went straight to the manager Brian who was very helpful as well as the front desk girls , very professional.
3.5 stars. Food is very good but service the night we went was sub-par for a restaurant of this caliber. Still working out kinks, it seems. We also sat in the table next to the wait station, which should be avoided because the setting sun hits you as it sets and the drapes can’t be closed due to fire regulations (according to our sporadically attentive waiter). We kept having to move the table to get away from the glare.
