Google is limiting characters. I will put full review on TripAdvisor. Quite a few things went wrong, which brought an unpleasant experience to our Valentine’s Day dinner. First, our waitress was very standoffish, and we had to wait quite a bit for service (not food). We had to ask for things rather than being asked. First round of bar drinks were good. I was disappointed with the small seafood tower. It was delivered without the sauces. Then the drawn butter was cold due to non-working fire thing which we had to wait 10 minutes for a replacement. THEN we realized we did not receive the shrimp with it. While waiting, I noticed the crab tasted very “watery”. I was able to squeeze and water poured out. Look at picture (have video but can’t upload it). We also ordered the beef carpaccio which was good. We split a Cesar salad which is the only salad I get when I eat out. I was disappointed with that. The dressing was thin and in our opinion flavorless. We ordered a second round of drinks which were good. For our dinner we both got the same entree (or should have)- the filet that came with a side of espresso butter and with spinach and leeks, and then we ordered a side of mashed potatoes for the table. Mine came out as ordered- but not my husband’s. He was just brought out a filet. No spinach and no leeks. Rather than just keep his steak at the table and bring over what was missing, so we could start eating together, she took his plate away. So mind you, I’m not going to start eating while he had nothing so I had to wait, with my food getting colder. Then she brought him his plate back- same steak, with just the sides added on. By now the mashed potatoes were cold. My espresso butter was melted butter but his was a cold block of the butter. While both of our steaks were perfectly cooked as ordered, when compared to steaks we’ve gotten at other restaurants (just were at Capital Grill for our anniversary), they were very plain tasting as if no seasoning whatsoever had been added to the steaks. By this time I was basically done with the night. I ate a couple of bites and was just done. We got all that boxed to go, and husband got me to order dessert with the salted Carmel espresso drink, to try to continue the night. I went to the restroom while that was being ordered and of course I go into the stall that the cover of the lock was missing, and I had to push my finger into the hole, and push on the sharp point of the lock mechanism inside the hole to get it to lock. Really?? Had to do it again to unlock it. While I was in the bathroom, my husband placed a dessert order and asked for the bill, and then he asked for it to be added to our rewards account because we knew it was gonna be a pricey bill and would give us future points. Without asking us, the waitress did apply the five dollars that we already had on the point system to our bill, and then when she brought it back, she did say “wow, it saved you a whole five dollars.” First of all, I knew it only had five dollars and was not going to use it, which is why I did not ask her to use it. Secondly, I did not need that sarcastic remark. I only wanted her to add this current bill to our points because I knew with the price, we’d have a lot of rewards dollars for the next time we went out at one of the restaurants. I thought that was very disrespectful. Back at the table, I had the creme brûlée and that was good as usual. The espresso drink was creamy but all I tasted was the Baileys and espresso. No vanilla and no salted caramel. Now yes, this is all first world problems, I know. But when my bill is about $490+ including tip…none of that should have gone wrong. I really felt like I wasted my money and wish I had made reservations elsewhere. I’m giving it 2 stars for the drinks and for the carpaccio. The service, the meal fiasco, bathroom, and especially that whole tower and meal fiascos take away the rest of the stars. I think my time at Flemings is over.
