  I had an amazing experience at The Island Things, and I have to give a huge shoutout to Shari. From the moment I walked in, she provided phenomenal service. She took the time to clearly explain all the ingredients in the promotional items, which I really appreciated it made ordering so much easier and more enjoyable. Her knowledge, patience, and genuine energy made the entire experience feel welcoming and smooth. You can tell she truly cares about the customers and takes pride in what she does. I left feeling completely satisfied and honestly relieved to have been taken care of by someone like Shari. If you visit, definitely ask for her you won’t be disappointed! Also don’t forget to try the lemonade ginger! Done

  Was going through my pocket and found a note the supervisor/cashier/server gave me on Wednesday and I decided better late than never.The note read thanks for making it Island things we appreciate your business it was hand written must have been her hand writing,Sharie was really sweet and efficient the presentation of my food was great and ambiance was great, I loved the ginger lemonade which she suggested. How she greeted me on entering the restaurant was good .I will be back thanks for the delicious meal and the hospitable customer service. I had the curry chicken

  My experience was fantastic. I had great customer service. Shari was excellent. Her presence and smile are contagious The presentation of my food….. Exceptional to say the least I’ve eaten here before, but the service was not the same Thank you Shari. I will be back for sure Where is the owner? Give this girl employee of the month. 10 out of 10 attitude. I had a Island Things experience

  Let me start by saying I’ve eaten here before. It’s one of the only places near me that’s even halfway decent and convenient since I no longer live in NJ, which is why I kept coming back. The food is passable, but the service has been consistently disappointing 3 out of the 4 times I’ve visited. What I will NOT tolerate is spending my money somewhere that clearly does not value its customers. While I was in the middle of placing my order, the cashier stopped, answered a personal cell phone call, and carried on a conversation as if I wasn’t even standing there. That level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. Whether you’re the manager, owner, or staff, there should be a basic standard of respect for your customers and your business. Unfortunately, that standard was not met. This was the final straw for me, and I will not be returning. For anyone considering this place—just be aware of the service you may receive. Smh

  I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was too disappointing to ignore. The level of customer service at this location was completely unacceptable. From the moment I arrived, I was not acknowledged, and when I was finally assisted, the attitude I received was incredibly rude and dismissive.As a customer, I expect at least basic respect and professionalism, but that was clearly lacking here. The interaction was so unpleasant that I genuinely considered leaving and not ordering at all.This is not just about one bad moment—it reflects a deeper issue with staff training and management oversight. I strongly recommend that corporate take a closer look at how employees at this location are being trained and how customers are being treated.No customer should feel disrespected or unwelcome when simply trying to order food. This experience needs to be addressed.
