Inspired by its Miami roots and a recipe for fresh 24-hour citrus marinated chicken, Pollo Tropical began offering guests across Florida a creative take on traditional Cuban dishes, as well as foods from other parts of Latin America, over 35 years ago.
Since then, Pollo Tropical has been dedicated to preparing fresh, great tasting foods in their kitchens every day – like their signature Grilled Chicken and Mojo Roast Pork, served with the fan-favorite black beans and rice, in platters and TropiChop bowls.
At Pollo Tropical, authentic preparation, fresh ingredients, and a creative twist on traditional flavors is the perfect recipe for delicious craveable food. Come taste the passion!

My bf just picked up tonight some food for me,it was a bowl with chicken with brown rice, corn, chicken and sautéed vegetables, theres a reason why I asked for brown rice and vegetables,my stomach is vulnerable and feeling delicate,he came back and it came filled with white rice and NO toppings of the vegetables..like c'mon if youre gonna completely ignore one request of the order at least redeem it with more of the other added request ..NOPE,NOTHING..So incredibly disappointed, how is it so hard?there's a reason why people ask their food a certain way,so now my bowl is ridiculously filled with white rice and absolutely no vegetables..I know its not the end of the world but he went out of his way to bring me some food I particularly asked in this location,if I would've known they were incapable or incompetent to do such an easy order I would've asked him to go somewhere else..Playing with peoples hard earned money is so insulting, specially when you choose and trust them over the bare minimum toppings requests over other restaurant franchises..

The worse place!! Don’t come here for anything and especially the plastic food!! To begin with you have to wait a century to order while 6 people in the back are gossiping. Then you get service WITH AN ATTITUDE!! The little older lady must HATE her job because she has a face of disgust while servicing you. If you don’t speak English she looks at you like you’re from another planet. The food is atrocious!! Tastes like plastic. Even the bread is hard. It’s a shame because this place was really good years back. On my way to Mojito Grill where their food is ACTUALLY food! Wasted $15 for nothing! PS if you don’t like your job get another one and don’t work with people!

So I ordered two large soups, but they gave me two small ones when I pointed out that the bill was for two large, they poured the small ones into the large and seal it, and that’s it. When I said something, the manager said it was fine, and they didn’t understand why I complained. I have no time for this, set the manager…
Really, I thought that was your job.
I go to Pollo Tropical at least once a week. Didn’t appreciate her attitude.
Furthermore, when I got home, I asked for the new tostone. It was all over the place, soggy, and not good.

Used to visit Pollo Tropical on a weekly basis but haven't in awhile. I decided to give it another try and realized why I haven't. The place used to be packed but it isn't anymore. For one, the representative could've given a crap if I was there. I ordered what I wanted which was 1/2 chicken meal with black beans, white rice and a side order of totones and a drink. She gives me my drink and the lid for whatever reason and she figures it out the cup was defective the lid wouldn't seal. She takes the drink pours it in another where it seals but before she did she put her thumb in my drink which turned me off. I don't care if she had blue gloves on but you don't do that. I'm sure they weren't trained like that. I asked her I needed salt for my tostones but she it already had salt. I didn't! I asked her if I could get more salt but she said they didn't have it. The black beans also had no taste and I could've use some salt. Pollo Tropical used to be a place to go but it's not what it use to be. I won't be returning to Pollo Tropical. It's definitely not what it use to be.
