The place is very nice and located in a great area within the Design District. The décor matches the concept well and the atmosphere is pleasant.
What I honestly do not understand is how Michelin rates or selects some of the restaurants on their list. In this case, there are no physical menus, everything is through a QR code, which I believe makes the experience less enjoyable for the customer.
The service was not good. When we arrived, no one greeted us; we just sat down. At first, we thought we had to order at the counter and then sit, but that was not the case. The staff was not rude, but there was no real sense of service either.
The food is good, but there is no wow factor that makes you think this restaurant deserves to be on the Michelin list.
When it came time to pay, the payment screen offered tip options of 10, 15, or 18 percent. I selected 18, but then asked if the tip was already included, and the server said yes. They actually include a 20 percent service charge without mentioning it, yet still show you those tip options as if it were not included. This leaves a bad impression not because of the money, but because of the lack of transparency and consideration for the customer

The food was delicious – full of authentic flavors, perfectly seasoned, and served fresh. Every dish felt carefully prepared with attention to detail and tradition. The servers were so friendly hosted. On top of that the final part was Turkish tea. 😍This restaurant can be my favorite Turkish cuisine in town.

Recommended by the MICHELIN Guide as Bib Gourmand: good quality, good value cooking. I am however, struggling to see why. The Turkish tea was fine. The Simit Avocado was pretty ordinary. A Turkish sesame bagel topped with freshly mashed hass avocado and an organic fried egg. I have lived in Istanbul and this was not on par with a simit that you could eat there. I definitely do not think it is worthy of a Michelin accolade. Something you could make at home. The avocado was half black. The simit tasted like it was overbaked and had a bitter taste. Apart from the one waitress, the other staff were rude and unfriendly. There are two branches I believe in Miami. This branch is located in Miami Design District.

To start, my wife and I were excited to eat here considering that it is Michelin Bib Gourmand recommended for 4 years and it had great reviews on Google. We ordered the lamb doner over rice and the kavurma which were recommended to us by two servers as some of the top dishes. However, the rice was super greasy as you can see a puddle of oil at the bottom of both dishes. The flavor wasn’t terrible but honestly nothing great either. It was just barely average in flavor. But the worst part is that now post-meal my wife and I have stomach aches and don’t feel good whatsoever. After the meal we had a baklava and that was the only thing that we actually liked here. And to top it off, they added a 20% service charge to the check.

It’s a great experience from the food to the service. The staff are friendly, the dishes are delicious, and the tea is the best part. The tea is something else. Im a tea aficionado and this is by far the best place for tea in Florida.
