Joe’s Stone Crab is an iconic dining experience in Miami Beach and absolutely lives up to its reputation. Known for its massive stone crab claws, the restaurant delivers seafood that is fresh, sweet, and incredibly satisfying. What makes the experience even more special is the sustainability behind it. Only one claw is harvested from each Florida stone crab before it is released back into the ocean, allowing it to regenerate naturally. It is rare to see seafood handled in such a responsible and thoughtful way, and it adds an extra layer of appreciation to every bite. The crab meat itself was firm, juicy, and naturally sweet, requiring very little to enhance its flavour. The portions are generous and perfect for sharing, making it ideal for groups or families. The overall meal felt indulgent without being overly heavy. The restaurant has a lively and classic atmosphere, with efficient service despite the constant crowd. It feels like a place with history and character, rather than just another tourist spot. If you are in Miami, Joe’s Stone Crab is a must-visit. Fresh, seasonal, and uniquely Floridian, it is an experience that goes beyond just great food.

Without a doubt one of the best experiences ever. Was our best experience ever here at Joe's. Lunch here is wonderful, not super busy, awesome service from our waiter Sam. Dinner here is extremely busy and can be crowded. We were able to take in the ambience, appreciate the surroundings. We parked across the street in Joe's free parking lot, bar opens at 11 am so we had a drink before the dining room opened at 11:30. We were escorted to our table and served a basket of assorted breads. Won't find better Stone Crabs than those offered here. Our waiter Sam was the best. Sam spent time with us chatting and sharing memories of old Miami Beach. Upon our exit we were thanked and bid farewell by all the staff we passed.

I’ve ate at Joes for the last forty years at least twice a year. It’s one of the best restaurants in Florida and the US. I was there for lunch today and the regular Joes is only open Wednesday through Sunday. They have a place next door with a bar not as big as regular Joes. You have to order like you are in a cafeteria and pay, they give you a number to put on your table and they deliver your food. Probably only fits about 50 people in the restaurant. The food was just as good as regular Joes, for over $100.00 a person for lunch when I asked our server for water he said go over there and get your water. Not rude but an insult after paying over $600.00 for five for lunch. When you order your food and pay I did tip 20%. What for. They could have hired one more waiter for 1/2 minimum wage and given some service. I spoke to the woman manager who gave me a BS canned answer. I will still go back but I don’t recommend anyone to have lunch at the Joes next door.

This restaurant is a true Miami classic with over 100 years of history. The overall atmosphere is beautiful and elegant, making the whole dining experience feel special. We walked in right when they opened, and within a short time the entire restaurant was packed — definitely shows how popular it is. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional. They were very knowledgeable about the restaurant’s history and the dishes, and even took the time to carefully guide us through how to properly eat the crab. The stone crab claws were absolutely massive. We ordered the large size for three people, and it was more than enough. Each claw was huge, with incredibly fresh, sweet, and tender meat.

Dining at Joe’s Stone Crab is truly a must for anyone visiting Miami. It’s an iconic establishment with a massive, family-friendly space and classic old-school steakhouse vibes. One thing I loved is that you don’t have to be a seafood lover to enjoy it. There’s genuinely something for everyone on the menu. We did valet (highly recommend since parking in the area is a nightmare), checked in for our reservation, and were seated right away. We chose an outdoor corner table, which worked out perfectly since my baby needed to nurse and nap. He ended up sleeping through most of the meal, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Our waitress was incredibly kind and friendly, and as a fellow mom, she was so warm and engaging when our baby woke up. Honestly, all of the staff we interacted with were genuinely welcoming. The food was phenomenal. We went all in and ordered oysters, a large serving of stone crab, a 9oz filet mignon, lobster tail, hash browns, garlic broccolini, and apple pie à la mode. We practically cleaned every plate. Even my husband, who isn’t usually a crab fan, loved the crab claws. Yes, it’s a spendy meal, but it’s worth every penny and more. I truly have nothing negative to say about our experience. Can’t wait to come back.
