- MMMary MassoumiApr 15, 20263.0The smoothie bowl was frozen with Frostbite, and the green smoothie lacked flavor. Instead of using healthy fruits like banana, mango, or pineapple, they added sugar. Usually, other places make smoothies sweet with these fruits. It didn’t feel like a healthy drink.

When I arrived home, my wife realized that the açai bowl had a “best used by” date that was 5 days earlier. Given that this is a brand that focuses on health, this lapse in food safety is not a great look. I drove all the way back to the store. To their credit, they did remake the bowl with a base that I was assured was made yesterday; however, they were fairly unapologetic for the inconvenience. They were unable to give me a refund, and they didn’t offer any other compensatory provisions to address the issue. I will not be returning, and I strongly caution anyone that does to look at expiration dates.
