I had such high hopes... and it was such a disappointment! How unfortunate!
My friend and I are foodies, so we always go to different restaurants to try different foods. We've been to many Indian places before, which were fantastic, so I was curious about this one.
These are the highlights of my awful experience:
1. The atmosphere of the place seemed like no one really cared. The tables were dirty and it took forever to clean despite the staff being available and the restaurant being empty!
2. Our girl server did not look like she even wanted or cared to be there. It took a very, very long time for her to return and take our orders. We contemplated on leaving. And that happen in an empty restaurant!
3. When she finally took our orders, she didn't write anything down, and later got our order wrong (they didn't bring us an item we ordered and brought us an item that we did not order). Maybe she should write things down...
4. The appetizer (samosas) took such a long time to come out that we thought that they forgot about it. It was only 2 pieces, how long does it take to make 2 pieces, even if it's fresh?!?
5. When the food was out, it was okay, but extremely unimpressive. Something I could have made myself at home. And I don't even cook! The prices are so high that I would not pay even half the price for the food I got. How disappointing!
6. I asked for napkins and the guy took a large napkin container from the neighboring table, where napkins were falling out, placed it on our table, and the napkins fell into our food. But the guy didn't care (remember, it felt like no one cared about anything), so he just walked away! While I took the napkins out of our food...
7. Like I said earlier, we ordered Paratha that they didn't note, so they looked confused when we asked where it was; they guy started showing us the receipt, and eventually went back to make the item. We didn't want it by that time...
8. At the end, the girl server brought some coffee-like drink and we were confused, because we didn't order it. She didn't seem to understand what we were saying and just stared at us awkwardly. The whole experience and her communication was extremely awkward and confusing, as if she didn't understand almost anything. We said that we didn't order this and after some more awkward staring, she took it away.
9. Oh, but that's not all! THE WEIRDEST PART I'VE NEVER EXPERIENCED >> I had some food left over and the girl brought 2 containers to-go (they didn't even have one regular-size container). We were still sitting and I kept nibbling on my food. The girl looked at me and said, "Can you return one container?" meaning that if I won't use them both, then give one back. I wanted to use them both actually but she took one, and we were left sitting in shock and confusion... Did you really just ask to return one small container while we were still at the table? This was sooo awkward, the whole thing was terribly awkward and repulsive at the end.
I think I don't have to mention the fact that I do NOT recommend this place for anyone, ever, and I will NOT ever return!
