I have had many instances of less than half the amount of food in my bowl because I ordered it online. Today is the experience that will cause me to drive out of my way somewhere else. The chips being stale and bowl half empty was normal, but the sofritas were rock hard, meaning they’ve been sitting out probably for hours. They are small pieces so it makes the bowl inedible and support is no help. Also there was a piece of steak in my bowl. Vegetarians should consider ordering from the other chipotle.

These were not chips. These were the idea of chips. Thin, pale, brittle fragments that tasted like they were lightly waved near a salt shaker sometime last week. Half the bag was dust, the other half snapped like drywall. I’ve had more structural integrity from a communion wafer. Whoever salted these clearly did so emotionally. One chip had enough salt to cure meat. The next had none at all. It was like a roulette wheel of disappointment. Every bite was a gamble and the house always won. And let’s talk freshness. These tasted like they were fried during a previous administration and stored under a heat lamp powered by sadness. If you told me they were reheated leftovers from yesterday’s leftovers, I would believe you without hesitation. The guac deserved better. The queso deserved better. I deserved better. Chipotle, I am begging you. Please stop punishing your customers with these chips. At this point, just hand out napkins and call it a day. Would not recommend. Would not forgive. Will emotionally recover in 3 to 5 business days.
