Our dining experience at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. was very enjoyable, even with a simple, classic selection of menu items. We ordered steak and shrimp, a fresh salad, and a burger with fries, and everything came out hot, well prepared, and full of flavor. The steak was cooked just right, tender, juicy, and well seasoned, while the shrimp were perfectly cooked and paired nicely with the meal. It felt like a solid, satisfying plate that didn’t try too hard but delivered exactly what you’d want. The burger and fries were another standout. The burger was thick, juicy, and flavorful, with a toasted bun that held everything together nicely. The fries were crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and served in a generous portion. The salad was fresh and well balanced, making it a great lighter option alongside the heartier dishes. Service was friendly and attentive without feeling rushed, and the fun, relaxed atmosphere made the experience even better. Even without ordering heavily from the seafood side of the menu, the quality and consistency of the food made it clear why this restaurant is so popular. Overall, it was a comfortable, enjoyable meal and a place we’d gladly return to.

Schlimm gewesen. 1.

Waited forty five minutes for a table.Which there was lots of tables open, waited another forty minutes after we ordered, and just left with no one even getting any food in the whole restaurant. There were about 10 to 15 workers beside who was cooking. When we were sat down after our wait we were also told that there were multiple items on the menu that were out and if we would have known that we definitely wouldn't have waited the wait. I hope noone else will have their time wasted like we did on our special family vacation.

Even for a place you know is gonna be kind of tourist trappy, the experience was both expensive and bad. My expectations were low and they still failed to meet them. $28 for a pound of peel & eat shrimp is more than most other places charge for crab, and almost all our shrimp were not deveined (gross, guys... have some pride in your $28 shrimp!). I had the Shrimper's Heaven and every single thing on the plate tasted like it came out of a Sysco freezer case. The "tempura" shrimp were especially egregious; they tasted like the frozen ones you stick in the oven. The sauce they served for the coconut shrimp had bitter chunks of orange peel in it. It was an oily, insipid mess. Our server spent most of her time talking to the bartenders while we waited for refills. The kitchen forgot the onion straws on my girlfriend's meal, and by the time we got the waitress' attention and the onion straws came out on their own from the kitchen, we were both done our meals. Took me another 15 minutes to get our server's attention to get the check. Avoid at all costs; it's not even worth the novelty factor anymore. There are plenty of local restaurants that deserve your money.

We are in Florida and decided to have lunch for Christmas. We drove to John’s Pass not knowing what would be open. We were stoked they were open for Christmas. Understandably, we waiting a while to set us. The hostess didn’t want to overwhelm the kitchen. I’ve worked in restaurants most my life and it was a good call to stagger in guests even though they had plenty of seating. You could tell they were understaffed. So we didn’t mind waiting. When we did get sat we had a nice server named Hayden. He was great and attentive. From the time we ordered it took almost 40 minutes to get our food. I’m assuming BOH was overwhelmed. I was cool with that. But where I’m not ok was the quality of the food. We got clam chowder which was lukewarm at best. The flavor was fine but the temp was less than desirable. When our shrimp came out I couldn’t tell the difference between the three types of shrimp we had on one of our main plates. They all pretty much looked the same and they were undercooked, as in the batter was soft. I would say it was nearly inedible and my wife and I were grossed out. The fries were soggy and cool. The peel and eat shrimp were piping hot which was nice but they completely lacked flavor. We got a mix of the garlic and Cajun and it tasted like neither. The shrimp were also deveined but I had to clean most of them. It was our first and last time at this chain. We took care of the staff but we left disappointed we even wasted our money on this experience. We joked we would have been better off at the Waffle House down the street.
