We ordered 4 chicken tenders and a triple baconator w/ extra cheese. No sides. No drinks. We received the sandwich and were "parked" for the chicken tenders, along with 2 parked vehicles waiting for their orders in front of us. I decided to go inside rather than wait for them to get 2-3 orders ready to walk out at once and as I walked in, a person in a red polo shirt (Manager) said "Your order wrong too?" I replied, "Nope, just coming in to get my chicken tenders." "Oh, don't think we can get that wrong" she replied. RED FLAG!!! 15 minutes later back at the RV I discover they got the chicken tenders correct and guess what was missing from the baconator... BACON!!! It also had all the "other stuff" that I don't like and that doesn't come on the baconator. Back to the restaurant I go. 12 minutes ride back. I walk in, and the front counter person asks if I went through drive through. I said yes, about 30 minutes ago, and asked what a baconator has on it. She replied, bacon, cheese, catsup, and mayo. I showed the sandwich I had received, and she turned around to the "manager" who was preparing all of the sandwiches and shared the mistake. The "manager" said, "it was rung up wrong, let me see it". She took a look at the sandwich, turned to the drive through order taker, and said "xxx, you need to read back the orders. You got another one wrong and now this man's coming at me for stupid shit." The order taker replied, "I remember that order for a triple baconator. It was a while ago. I rang it up right. it was right after that old lady with the fish sandwich that was messed up", referring to the parked car and kind elderly lady I had a brief conversation with while waiting inside for the tenders on my first trip. As the "manager" started to remake the sandwich, the counter person apologized several times, and offered to give me some free sides for my inconvenience. I told her, "Once I get the remade sandwich, I am going to ask for a refund for my inconvenience". The front counter person relayed the request to the manager, which was flatly and categorically denied. I said, "I understand that's your decision. May I please have your district manager's contact info instead." The "manager" clarified my request, which I confirmed, rejected it once again, and stated I could have a remake or a refund. I said, "I'm actually very hungry, so I'll take the remade sandwich, and your district manager's contact info". Her response... "I'm the district manager." "Fantastic... then may I please have YOUR boss' contact info." Her response''... "You can go online and find it". She then refused to speak any further, handed my remade sandwich to the front counter person, and ignored ALL of my additional attempts to engage in conversation. After have a decades-long career in retail, I KNOW a few things to be certain: 1) You catch more flies with honey than you do vinegar, so when having a customer service confrontation, STAY CALM, FRIENDLY, and state clearly what you would like the resolution to be. 2) EVERY employee has a supervisor. Every SUPERVISOR has a supervisor. Employees have limits to their authority, and there's someone in EVERY organization that can make a final decision on how to satisfy your concerns. 3) Operations and performance problems start with leadership. Poor leadership is toxic, destructive, and grossly unprofitable. The final testament to the leadership of the "manager" was my final question to one of the front counter people. When asked, "Just to confirm, the person with the red shirt is your store manager, correct?", they replied, "I'm sorry sir, I can't answer that question... she's already said what she said." They were kind enough to pose for a picture as I left. To Wendy's: The employees are suffering. The customers are suffering. EVERY wasted ingredient and remake means that profits are suffering. My suggestion... FIX the LEADERSHIP!!! To their customers: STEER CLEAR until they fix leadership, OR check your order EVERY TIME before you get home... they are USED to, and even ANTICIPATE, getting it wrong!

I'm not usually a big fan of fast food, but after a long day on the road, I decided to make a quick stop at Wendy's since the kids were really craving it. Unfortunately, it ended up being a bit of a letdown! The buns were super dry and hard, and I got three biggie bags, so I didn’t expect gourmet food, but I hoped for something a little better. The fries were old, burnt, and cold, and the chicken nuggets seemed a bit undercooked too. As for the bacon on the burgers, it was just tiny little bits, which was a bit sad usually, they’d at least chop a piece in half for you! That said, the young team working there was really sweet and did their best to keep things moving. It’s nice to see them trying hard, and everyone has to start somewhere! I appreciated their effort, which is why I gave it a three-star rating. It’s always good to find a silver lining, right?
