Afterward, we were provided with a window table, where our server, Jennifer (Jenny), looked after our every want and need in the world of cuisine and fine wine. The prime rib (ordered by 3 at our table) was outstanding. Sea bass was another great entree at our table. Chart House on Longboat Key is an experience that you won't want to miss. Arguably one one of Sarasota's best dining choices.

We had crab cakes, clam chowder soup, and Kim Chee Calamari for appetizers. For main dish we had, sea bass with mashed potatoes and asparagus. For dessert, we had a dish that brought 3 different flavor crème brûlée. Sangria and water. The crab cakes was tasteful. The clam chowder was okay, nothing to write home about and the same for the sea bass. The creme brûlée dessert was good, different flavors to suit different paletes. Overall, it's a nice restaurant with nice views. The food was okay.

When we arrived at our table in the lounge, one plate had what appeared to be crushed black pepper on it. Upon closer inspection I immediately identified it as dry wood termite frass (poop). Our server noticed the dirty plate and offered to bring a clean one, and I mentioned to him that he may want to alert management to the termite issue, and he agreed. Upon receiving the clean plate, within a minute there was already more frass on it, and we even witnessed one piece landing on the plate. I never touched the plate and moved to the other side of the table, and by the time we were finished, about 45 mins later, I counted 12 termite frass pellets on the plate. Gross! This was a first for me in every way, and not an experience I’d like to repeat. Avoid the 2 top that is the second table on the right when you walk enter the lounge from the waiting area.
