Tried all day to make a reservation., Open table said “can’t complete reservation - contact customer support “ ( ?? ) I phoned the restaurant several times and when I tried the reservation prompt I The response was; “no one cable your call now and the mailbox is full. You can’t leave a message _” I’m giving up and going elsewhere.

We love the Chart House restaurant for it's accessibility, service, water views and food. We never had a bad meal at the Chart House. Their early dining menu is great too.

We celebrated our anniversary here and had such a wonderful experience. From the moment we sat down, we felt special, they even customized our menus to say “Happy Anniversary,” which was such a thoughtful touch. The food was absolutely phenomenal. Everything we ordered was delicious, and you can tell a lot of care goes into each dish. The portion sizes were great, and the pricing felt very reasonable for the quality. Service was good. They weren’t very busy, but it seemed like they were a bit short-staffed, so things moved a little slower than expected. That said, it actually worked in our favor, it created a very relaxed, non-rushed atmosphere that made the evening even more enjoyable. Overall, we had an amazing time and truly have no complaints. A perfect spot for a special occasion! Definitely recommend and will be back.

Been twice now. First time was an excellent experience. All around. The second time, would have let one or two things go, but a series of small things, made it a bad experience. We enjoyed the ambiance and looking forward to another nice meal. Every single other average place on Longboat we went to had been great. I find it frustrating that it was a nicer place that provided the worse service. We arrived hungry, and jokingly mentioned it to the server. Ordered quickly. Then after waiting a while, my wife mentioned “I thought this place offered bread last time”? Maybe we misremembered. More time went on and we noticed all the tables around us received bread. We also realized our two young boys had not received their drinks yet. Small thing, sure? Still, no biggie we will simply ask. However, this is when we became invisible. The server came out occasionally, and (I’m not going to rudely shout) we try making eye contact, waving him now. He proceeded back and forth to all the tables around us with the focus of a horse with blinders. At this point we are not enjoying our company, I’m trying to find service. After he came and went a few times, I got up to find him at the walkway as he clearly was not going to find us at our table. We got our bread and drinks, the food came out, it’s was perfectly fine. We were hoping for some more bread and refills at some point but after only interacting with a couple food runners we found ourselves in the same spot. Empty cups, no bread to mix in with the meal. An oversight that has never happened to me at a Texas Roadhouse or Chilis. The kids were thirsty and enough time went by that a nice meal turned back to frustration. My wife went to the bar to refill the kids drinks since we were clearly on our own here. They said they would have the server take care of it (I thought they’d just refill it but, ok) We did see a manager walk by and check on a table and we thought that would turn things around. However, she checked on a particular table and quickly left without us being able to make eye contact or a polite wave. We did ask for more bread later on, bread will make or break a place for my wife and kid. However, it arrived without butter. Small oversight? Very. But unfixable at the rate we saw our server. To be frank, we mistakenly thought this place would be good at the small details that make for an excellent experience. My wife was talking about getting desert. My wine glass remained empty. However, there was simply no one to take those orders. Again, everyone else around us, excellent service. So just know, it’s hit and miss apparently. Maybe they just like locals or nicer polos on their guest, not sure. But my wife who likes everyone was under the impression our server didn’t like us. Instead of racking up and bill and hanging out in this nice spot we decided to simply get the check and leave. I’m on a one week vacation. This was a nicer place happy to take $200, I don’t appreciate being invisible and getting service worse than my local chain restaurant. We wrapped up the evening at M and D Sweet Spot (ice cream place that took over Tyler’s) were the service was amazing and left us feeling like it’s vacation again.

WE HAD AN ABSOLUTE TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE TONIGHT. WE WILL NOT BE BACK. My brother and sister-in-law were in from out of town and we wanted to take them somewhere special to celebrate her 50th birthday. Sadly, it was a huge letdown. What really ruined the experience for us was we had Christian (the one with a tattoo on his neck) for our waiter. We could tell from the very moment he walked up to the table something was off. It was obvious to us all that he was either having an off night or he really doesn't enjoy his job at all. He had ZERO charm or personality. Just going through the motions as if he were making a grocery list. Seems like the least he could do is crack a smile since we were there celebrating a special occasion. Things took a turn for the worse when he brought the soup and salads to the table. Three of us had ordered salads with the birthday girl getting the lobster bisque. He brought out two lobster bisque and two salads. He sat one of the soups in front of me. I clearly had ordered a ceasar salad (I don't even like lobster bisque so I would have never ordered it). When I turned around and said "Hey, I think I was supposed to have a caesar salad?" He gave out a sigh and said firmly, "No. You ordered the lobster bisque " and then proceeds to walk over to where other waiters were standing to grab his ticket book and returned to the table and said "That's not what I have here. According to this, you ordered the lobster bisque." When I looked at him like seriously he just looked back at me as though we were at an impasse, and then sharply quipped, "Would you like for me to get you a caesar salad?" and went off in a huff. When he returned to the table with my caesar salad I leaned back and asked him "Are you having a bad night or what?" He said "No I am having a fantastic night. What about you?" with a sarcastic tone. The service was absolutely terrible. Honestly, i've had better service than an Applebee's and WITHOUT the serving of attitude. The pacing of the meal was off. No bread was served with our salads but we're later, given some with our entrees. It took us over two hours from the time we sat down at our table till the time we were served and finished. This place is not anything like what it used to be. It used to be a place for our family to celebrate special occasions (birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, etc) but it's clear they have come to rest on their namesakes laurels, no longer offering an exceptional dining experience. There are too many better options on the keys. Take it from an old timer - "She ain't what she used to be!"
