So if you typically tip 20% you are instead tipping nearly 40% if you don't read the bill carefully. If they want to do that, it's their prerogative, but be upfront about it, and make it prominent on the check. It's like having to read "the fine print" on your bill. Had mediocre food from them on DoorDash, now just OK food and a what feels like a "hidden charge". Won't be back.
