Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

    I was really excited to try Whataburger, but wow… this was a huge letdown. Just to be clear, this is my personal experience, so you might have a better one — but ours was rough. I got the bacon cheeseburger and my husband ordered the sweet & spicy burger. Both had a really strange flavor and were incredibly dry — like, “take two bites and give up” dry. We actually ended up throwing them away and going somewhere else to eat. To top it off, both the sweet tea and unsweetened tea were empty, and we had to ask staff to go in the back just to get some. The only redeeming thing was the fries — those were actually good. Super disappointing, especially with all the hype. Definitely not what we expected.

    Services-was just okay, its like house of kids without an adult over seening madness. Atmosphere- between bathroom combine with orange color work-roadsite. Not about clean or dirty just didn't seem appealing, nor culture without roots. We all know story of McDonald's, or Wendy's but fine Whataburger gives a sense of no roots or story line. Felt empty as tons ppl standing around as we all looking around for something with meaning. Nothing.... As for food I saved it for last I wanted see how much space left to write the truth, meat was dry out not fresh made order as claimed to be, toppings was like McDonald's "thrown" together. Frys were salty and couldn't eat them. Onion rings was like a frozen bag but only small broken ones. Chicken sandwich was a patty thats foam into a square like shape, not natural. Two of the solved drinks were flat to taste. The grilled cheese, it was a big letdown, please dont buy this for kids as think it was made in a microwave due to chesse was only melted on edges and bread was soggy in the center. As for over experience, I was let down as looking for that 70's style fresh smash burger style. As for name we all laugh hard when I said "WHATABURGER" AND MY EYES ROLLING 🙄 This meaning of name for us...What-A...-Burger never coming back sorry. Feel McDonald's or Wendy's was better and this sad. I would rather go Five Guys, or Steaking & Shake. sorry no sale here ever again.

    So... it was slow when they were getting their feet wet... but things are improving. I will say EVERY TIME I order food it is HOT and FRESH!!! Staff are always friendly and willing to help. My only suggestion is that when ordering on the app, you still have to wait like 15-20 minutes after your "pick up" time. I am sure this will improve with time. Give them a try, and if you have a not-so-great experience, try again, but go later if you can (not during dinner rush hour). I assure you, your food will be great! I get it is frustrating when your food isn't "right." Trust me, I don't do American cheese, so every other burger joint defaults to putting cheese on your burger (I laugh at the instagram when people get mad getting cheese on their "hamburger"). This happened to me once at Whataburger. I called, they put me on the list, and corrected it when it was convenient for me. So they are willing to fix any issue with a smile. Thanks, Whataburger, for coming back to Largo!!! It actually is better than it was when you were here like 20 years ago :)

    The electronic ordering was not working right. There were no signs saying broken so we placed our order and at the checkout section that’s when it didn’t work. So we went to the other order screen. It allowed us to get all the way to the end and then didn’t work either. We wasted about 15 minutes doing this. Signs alerting it not working would be helpful. I like using the ordering screens so I can be selective about what’s on my food. We ordered at the counter and we wanted the Monterey melt. The lady said there were two options, so I guess we’re not even sure what we ordered. My husband ordered his sandwich on Texas toast instead of a bun and it came out on a bun. The team leader Lizzy was very nice and helpful though. She saw the mistake had it fixed fast. I liked the Texas toast but other than that I don’t feel like my melt was anything special. The strawberry refresher was really good though! The facility overall was clean

    I drove 1 hour and 30 minutes away to this location,. To pick up food for my girlfriend and I. I specifically told the employees thru the drive thru that I’d like a plain whataburger(#1) JUST “MEAT And BUN, that’s it” because my girlfriend does not like anything but meat and bun. I also asked for 2 large fries. I get my food. See that there are fries and the amount of sandwiches I ordered. Plus the sandwich I ordered for my gf which had the sticker and was labeled (plain) Mind you I waited 25 minutes in the drive thru as well. I Drive an hour and 30 back home. Take the food out just to find out I got 1 large fry and 1 medium fry. Unwrap the burger that is labeled plain. And it has mustard on it. $30 order and my food is messed up didn’t get what I asked for. Had to repeat my self 5 times as well to the drive thru microphone saying just meat and bun nothing else. BAD EXPERIENCE. Girlfriend didn’t eat the food she hates mustard.
