Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

    Wow Whataburger finally arrives in Tampa Bay Area further south from a nearest around Jacksonville. However I have a few complaints..... The floor is very slick and easy to slide on especially since I can feel my shoes slipping like the floor slips and may cause someone to trip and fall. Two. I went around 9 pm and one of the team members told me to just order on the kiosk and I got upset with that as if they didn't want to help serve customers at the front counter. Three. I ordered on the Whataburger app; however I ordered got the text message that the order was ready you can let a team member know so I went back to the counter. There was no one there able to assist and even few walking around were busy and weren't curious enough to ask that I had to remind them about my order. 20 mins past I reminded them again and there they gave it too me; however I immediately left. My service was poor and I will never; come back again, unless things are better.

    Just not worth it. In no world should it take 20 minutes in a drive through to get 2 burgers, a fry and a drink. Im not mad at the employees per say, maybe a little bit, but they need more training and management. Where is the sense of urgency these days? Why dont people care anymore? Money is tight these days, and when I chose to spend some at an establishment, I expect a certain level of customer service/accuracy. But when I explicitly ask for extra napkins, and am told I will get them in my order after I am told to pull forward, only to see my order had not one napkin, its a huge letdown. Nobody wants to do their job anymore nor do they care. This place is as poorly ran as the new bojangles in town. I wont be going back. -28 year old person who has worked a fast food job in high school and is tired of how terrible things are becoming.

    Honestly the food is good but service is crap. When they messed up our order, we could hear them in the back laughing at the fact they gave our food to a different table and we went up to let them know about it. They still messed up the order when bringing it out the 2nd time and by the 3rd time we finally got our food. At that point we were so upset at the attitude and the poor customer service we got the food to go and left. If a number system is going to be used maybe the staff needs to actually read the little number signs to deliver the correct order to the correct customer. Very disappointing. Night shift needs to do a better job at being professional and sending out orders correctly instead of huddling in groups and laughing at customers.

    Always have been a big fan of Whataburger. I Was so glad to hear that they are back in the area. The food always taste good and fresh. I visited this location twice now. Both times the service is slow. My last visit, I placed my order and after 30 minutes I still had not received my order. I noticed that people came in after me had received their order. I talked with a server and she said that she would look into my order. Five minutes later, I noticed her walking out of the restaurant with her purse. Then I went up to the cashier and told her what was going on. She was nice, but said that she couldn't help me. Then that's when I asked for a manger, a young lady finally came up to talk me. Her story was that my order didn't show up on their screen and must have fallen off because of the time. About 5 minutes later I finally received my order. I noticed that they have employees running into each other. Definitely a communication problem between the staff. I understand it's a new place, but they definitely going to have to improve their communication and this would help tgeir service levels.

    Ordered curbside through Google maps. When I navigated to the restaurant it backed out of the order page for curbside. Once I arrived at the time it was supposed to be ready, I could not get back into the page to put in the spot number. I was logged in and went through pretty much every button on the website. Kinda on me. I went inside and I was told that my order would be ready in 15 minutes. Kind of a long time, I was not offered a drink that I had already purchased. 20 minutes go by and I go back inside and the order was still not ready. After waiting for about another 10 minutes I was handed my food and I went back out to my car and there were no french fries. Went back inside again and I was given two french fries which was nice, but a little late. I guess that's the theme. When I walked in the third time, the cashier said what's wrong now? Which is a bit rude since I wasn't even making it a big deal. It was very busy after all. Besides the bad service the food was greasy and burgers were folded upside down and were placed in the bag sideways. The fries were decent. The guy working the floor was keeping things clean.
